ELA.6.R.1.3 Explain the influence of multiple narrators and/or shifts in point of view in a literary text.
Example: Given a reading passage at the student name’s instructional level, the student name will determine the author’s point of view with 80% accuracy in 4 out of 5 trials by the end of the IEP period.
ELA.6.R.3.2: Paraphrase content from grade-level texts.
Example: Given a reading passage in a content area, the student name will paraphrase/summarize what was read in written form with ___ % accuracy in ___ out of ____ trials by the end of the IEP period.
Communication
ELA.6.C.3.1 Follow the rules of standard English grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling appropriate to grade level.
Example: Given a writing prompt, the student name will write a 5 sentence paragraph using correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling with ___ % accuracy in ___ consecutive trials by the end of the IEP period.
ELA.6.C.2.1 Present information orally, in a logical sequence, using nonverbal cues, appropriate volume, clear pronunciation, and appropriate pacing.
Example: Given an oral presentation, the student name will demonstrate clear and concise dialogue with a minimum of ___ out of a ___ point rubric on __ consecutive attempts by the end of the IEP period.

ELA.7.R.3.2: Paraphrase content from grade-level texts.

ELA.7.C.1.4: Write expository texts to explain and analyze information.
Example: Given a choice of three topics, the student name will compose an expository text showing understanding of the topic by including a minimum of three facts and three details by the end of the IEP period.

ELA.7. R.2.3 Explain how an author establishes and achieves purpose(s) through diction and syntax.

ELA.8.R.1.1: Analyze the interaction between character development, setting, and plot in a literary text.

ELA.8.C.1.4: Write expository texts to explain and analyze information from multiple sources, using relevant supporting details, logical organization, and varied purposeful transitions.

Vocabulary
ELA.8.V.1.2: Apply knowledge of Greek and Latin roots and affixes to determine meanings of words and phrases in grade-level content.
Example: Given ten grade-level sentences with highlighted words, the student name will use Greek or Latin affixes and roots as clues to the meaning of the word within the sentence with a minimum of ___ % accuracy in ___ out of ___ trials by the end of the IEP period.
