Regular Meeting Minutes
10/27/2022
The Norman Park Elementary Local School Governance Team met on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 at 12:00 pm. The meeting was held in the ESOL Resource Room, #207.
School Governance Team Members Present: Members Included: Stacey Rutledge, Michelle Daniels, Kristi Sutton, Jennifer Key, Lia Baker, Jessi Ray, Jarrod Roberts, and Rhonda Kelley

8 members were present, representing a quorum
- Call to Order
- Principal, Stacey Rutledge, called the meeting to order at 12:05 pm.
- Approval of Agenda
- Stacey Rutledge distributed the agenda and read through its contents.
- The agenda was approved by unanimous consent at 12:10 pm.
- Approval of Minutes
- The minutes from the previous meeting on September 29th, 2022 were read by Kristi Sutton, Secretary, and they were approved unanimously at 12:15 pm.
- Principal’s Report- (led by Stacey Rutledge)
- Personnel- No changes in staff
- Finance/Resource Allocations- FTE count has been signed off. Title 1 budget is waiting to be approved. Title 1 carryover budget is being discussed and how funds will be used for contracted services and subs for My View curriculum teacher planning days. FY 23 QBE budget amounts and expenditures.
- Curriculum/Instruction- On October 26th, observations were made by the My View Coaching staff and went very well. Our school received positive feedback as well as praise for implementing the program with fidelity. The new Math curriculum adoption has been paused to give us more time to review the curriculums available as well as review the new math standards that are being updated. Next week begins Unit 2, Week 6 and Unit Assessments will be begin as well as the Project Based Inquiry week. Mid-Year Map is scheduled for December.
- School Improvement-CCPRI scores are starting to be released. Our school received a 57.9 on Content Mastery. CCPRI will not calculate all components this year: Content mastery, Beyond the Core and Lexile Levels.
- School Operations- Plans are being made for our Fall Festival, Veteran’s Day, Storytelling Day, White Christmas, and PJ/Pancakes Day
- New Business- PTO president Lia Baker gave a report:
-Photo backdrops with the NP logo has been ordered
-$13,000 of PTO funds have been earmarked for a new, free-standing piece of playground equipment.
-Several school spirit nights have been scheduled (Nov. 15th- Surcheros, Dec. 6th- DQ/Freckles Skate Night, and Feb 7th- DQ Night)
- Senator Saxby Chambliss has agreed to be our guest speaker at this year’s Veteran’s Day program on Nov. 11th.
- Adjournment- With no further business to come before the (LGST) School Council Committee, the meeting was adjourned at 12:55 pm. 8/8 Votes: Yes
