Estate Sale Proceeds will be distributed as follows:

60% of Estate Sale Proceeds disbursed to the Client

40% of Estate Sale proceeds retained by Vintage Estate Co.

A check for the client's portion of the sale proceeds will be mailed or hand-delivered to the Client within 5 business days of the sale completion.

This agreement is made for the sole purpose of liquidating the contents of an estate by and between Vintage Estate Company LLC (V.E.C.) and “Client,” who now warrants that they are the legal owner of the property, or are the “Personal Representative” of the estate. Please be prepared to supply documentation of representation.

Either party may terminate this contract for Just Cause. In the case of Client termination, the Client will compensate V.E.C. $50 per hour for documented work completed on the Client’s behalf.

Vintage Estate Co. will:

  • Catalog auction items and auction lots.

  • Advertise the auction using our website, direct email list, EstateSales.net, EstateSales.org, and other advertising platforms as appropriate.

  • Provide all resources needed to staff, organize, display, research, and sell the auction items in an organized, secure, and customer-service-oriented manner.

  • Manage and coordinate the pickup of sold auction items with buyers. Pickup time(s) and dates(s) are outlined on the first page of this contract.

  • Provide and remove all tables, display items, and supplies we use upon completion of auction pickup.

  • Manage Workers' Compensation and Liability Insurance, and pay auction site and credit card fees.

  • Collect and submit sales tax (which will be deducted from the gross sale total). The client is not responsible for any part of the sales tax submission.

  • Provide a sales reconciliation with payment, which details sales totals, Client/V.E.C. payment breakdown, and sales tax collected. If additional inventory documentation is desired, please note the specifics in the “Client Notes” section of this contract.

Client agrees that:

  • Access to the estate property is necessary for Vintage Estate Co. staff to prepare and operate the auction. Personal admittance, a key, garage entry, or lockbox code will be provided to V.E.C. for this purpose according to the timeframes outlined in this contract for auction cataloging, customer preview (if applicable), and sold auction item(s) pickup coordination.

  • V.E.C. will catalog, photograph, organize, and label auction items and auction lots. Nothing may be removed from the auction inventory by the Client after our cataloging process has begun. If items are removed after this time, V.E.C. reserves the right to charge the client the amount that our compensation would have been had the item remained on site.

  • For organizational purposes, please do not move, consolidate, or package any auction items after our cataloging process has begun.

  • V.E.C. will set beginning bid prices for the auction unless a desired reserve price is documented by the Client in the “Client Notes” portion of this contract.

  • The client will separate, label, remove, or place in a separate area all items to be included in the auction before V.E.C. begins physical preparation of the auction site.

  • V.E.C. will be held harmless for breaches of privacy regarding personal information located on a sales site via documents, computers, or the like. The client is responsible for removing sensitive information.

  • Homeowners’ insurance is in full effect.

  • Auction item pickup will be staffed by our long-standing management and sales team. Jessica Modeer will not always personally be present during this time.
