Recount Writing

What are we learning?

Group 1 and 2:

We are learning to use similes to create a picture in the reader's mind.

Success Criteria:

You know you have been successful when you have written about:

  • Who?

  • What?

  • Where?

  • You have a beginning , middle and end.

  • Use smiles in your sentences.

Remember to:

  • Plan your writing.
  • Use full stops, capital letters and paragraphs.
  • If you cannot spell a word don’t worry! We can fix it up later.

MUM!” Why did you wake me up, it is the weekend”. Anyway I was ready to get up. I'm going to go play lego. I had been making a lego helicopter all week and now I am making it longer and now it can fit a motorbike in it and it can also fit five people in it. I made it motorised so that it can fly by itself but it can’t go very far. My dad was very impressed. He said that he couldn’t even make that.

Then I had to water the plants in the house. I ran into the laundry to get the water to water the plants.  There are lots of plants in the house and in the garden there are even more plants in the garden so I had to do a huge amount of water and plants. After I had done all of the plants I said to my mum that it was boring. I had a little rest.

After I had finished doing my rest time dad came home and we played with the roller coaster because dad had just ordered new carts the old carts didn’t work. All of the carts were blue. Then it was dinner time. It was my favorite dinner ever then we had a bath and then it was bedtime. I was sad that it was bedtime but it had been a fun day so I went to bed. I dreamed about marshmallows.
