Elementary Teacher Aide
Position
- Burton Elementary is seeking a teacher aide for the 2023-2024 school year.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification
- Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education [defined as completion of 48 semester hours]
- Have obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or
- Have met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment:
-knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics; or
-knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Aide assignment is dedicated to providing small group or individual instruction to students.
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and students to meet the needs of the students.
- Strong commitment to help all students succeed.
- Maintain professional work habits and participate in training as required.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned by Principal.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay according to Burton ISD aide schedule
- $200 of Health insurance
- Vision and Dental insurance
- Two local leave days
