STUDIO COVID-19 PROTOCOL FOR ALL STUDENTS, STAFF & TEACHERS

Update for Spring 2023

MASKS ARE NOW OPTIONAL ON BALLET HAWAII PREMISES, BUT BALLET HAWAII RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK ANYONE TO MASK IF IT BECOMES TOO CROWDED IN THE STUDIOS OR WAITING AREAS.

PLEASE NOTE:

Do NOT register or try to take class if you have any sick symptoms, have been in close contact with someone with Covid-19 or if you have Covid-19.  

We require you to sign at the end of this document confirming that you have read and understand Ballet Hawaii’s policies. We are working to provide you the safest space possible, but cannot guarantee a Coronavirus-free environment. You are choosing to participate at your own risk and responsibility.

If you have a fever or symptoms, you will be required to leave the facility.

These are BH’s own policies regarding Covid-19.

BALLET HAWAII’S HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOL

Please take ownership of  maintaining safe practices to keep our ohana safe.

When in doubt, wait it out!

General Policy

  1. All students, parents, staff, and faculty have the option of wearing a face mask in Ballet Hawaii facilities. If worn, a face mask must properly cover both the nose and mouth.
  2. Remain mindful of your proximity to other people and do not crowd - please try to maintain a healthy distance.
  3. Frequent hand hygiene is encouraged.  
  4. Parents may wait in the HNL and BHW studio waiting area. Please be mindful of crowding. Ballet Hawaii staff reserves the right to ask parents to wait elsewhere if it is too crowded in the facility.
  5. BH works to keep its facilities clean daily. Air purifiers are used in every studio.

In the Studio

  1. Masks are no longer mandatory in Ballet Hawaii studios, but BH faculty & staff reserve the right to ask students to mask at any time.
  2. Each individual teacher reserves the right to ask his/her class to mask.
  3. Students please try to maintain healthy distancing in the studio where appropriate.
  4. Drink water mindfully and do not share food with sick people.

This calculator is a tool to determine quarantine/isolation periods if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have been in close contact or have been exposed to COVID-19.

Our Front Desk staff will be utilizing it to clarify wait periods.

IMPORTANT: Any student/staff member returning from isolation/quarantine

must wear a mask in Ballet Hawaii’s facilities for up to 5 days upon return.

BH TRAVEL GUIDELINES

  1. If you plan on traveling, please report your absence using your Jackrabbit account.
  2. Travelers (inter-island, domestic or international) no longer need to test upon arrival in Hawaii and may return to the studio immediately as long as NO sick symptoms are present. If sick symptoms are present, self-isolate and test as soon as possible.
  3. If members of your family are traveling, it is your responsibility to monitor their health and your own.
