Ministry Teams

Prayer is essential. It is both necessary for a growing relationship with God and to support and love one another as God's people. While we are all invited and called to pray, our Prayer Team is a group of intercessors who pray specifically over requests from across our church body on a daily basis.

LifeKids: Children

LifeKids is for newborns through 5th grade. There are many ways you can serve in LifeKids as a Disciple Maker and help us accomplish our mission of partnering with parents to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Christ.

  • Our Check-In role is for someone who is friendly and social and enjoys talking with families and greeting them as they arrive. This person will need to have basic computer skills, be familiar with Planning Center, and have a comprehensive knowledge of LifeKids.
  • Guides and Greeters are there to welcome families and kids at the door and show new families to their children’s rooms. This person should be friendly and social and have a basic knowledge of the LifeKids environment.
  • The Tech role is for someone who likes to push buttons and has basic computer knowledge. We have tech roles in both Branches and the Clubhouse.
  • The Kids Worship is a good fit for someone who is energetic, loves to be on stage, memorizes motions, and helps leads songs on Sundays for Elementary. This person will also need to be able to attend kids worship practice at TweenLife once a month.
  • Our Lead position involves some acting, wearing costumes, and speaking from stage. This person must be good at engaging kids along with encouraging other disciple makers. We have leads in both Branches and the Clubhouse.
  • Our Life Group Leader role is for someone who loves to connect with a small group of elementary school-aged kids while teaching them the Bible lesson.
  • The One-on-One role is for someone who loves to work directly with kids that need more one-on-one interaction.
  • Disciple Makers who serve in our baby and toddler rooms spend time cuddling, rocking, and caring for babies and toddlers.
  • We have Student Assistants in Sprouts, Roots, and Branches. These are approved and trained students 6th-12th grade who desire to serve and assist the lead teachers.

All Disciple Makers will receive a background check and meet with someone on LifeKids staff before serving.

EKO: Middle and High School

EKO is focused on the discipleship of middle and high schoolers. Volunteer leaders walk alongside students towards Jesus, as well as walking beside parents in the discipleship process. Leaders invest in students’ lives both at EKO every week and at other events during the week that our students are involved in. Other ways to support the EKO ministry include, but aren’t limited to, donating food or drinks for events and chaperoning on trips. Chaperones will go through a background check and have a meeting with the Student Director before travelling.

Collide: College/Young Adult

The Collide ministry focuses on creating intentional community among college students and young adults. Volunteer Leaders lead lifegroups that meet weekly, working together to provide structure, guide discussion, and cultivate community. Other ways to support the Collide ministry include opening weekly host homes for life groups, providing food or drinks and helping set up for events, and mentoring college students and young adults. Those interested in being mentors will meet with a leader in the Collide ministry before being connected with a student or young adult.

Worship Arts & Production

The Worship Arts Ministry at Lifechurch focuses on raising up passionate lead-worshipers who can use their gifts to shepherd and lead our church body to become passionate worshippers of Jesus through teaching, music, and other creative means. Volunteer opportunities include leading worship through singing or playing an instrument (by audition), being on the production team (running sound, lights, or media), or by being on the creative team. If you have construction/handyman/design skills, there are volunteer opportunities for set-building and stage design as well.

First Impressions

Our First Impressions team members have experienced the warmth and belonging found in the gospel of Christ and want others to experience that same warmth in an environment where they are welcome, appreciated, and loved. Our First Impressions Team consists of four areas: (1) Greeters, (2) Ushers, (3) Coffee Servers, (4) Connect Center. Trainings occur throughout the year.

While God’s church is made of the people, it is the responsibility of its members to be good stewards of the meeting spaces God has provided for us. Our Facilities Team keeps our building and outdoors looking neat, tidy, and welcoming. Volunteers provide weekly cleaning of our indoors, restock auditorium items for our members and guests, and maintain our outdoor plants, parking lot, and entryway. In addition, volunteers can also provide short-term services such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and other small projects to update and maintain our facility.

Care & Ministry

"But God has so composed the body...that the members may have the same care for one another." (1 Cor. 12:24b-25)

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

The Care and Ministry team exists to provide support, encouragement, and helpful resources to those in need. Trained volunteers and pastors provide care through phone calls, visits, and prayer. Regular participation and training will be required before meeting with others.

Mission & Outreach

Life Church wholeheartedly believes that the gospel is meant for all, and that as believers, we are called to share the good news through our service to one another, with specific focus on the oppressed, marginalized, or in need . The Missions and Outreach team exists to provide resources and connections for people within our Life Church family to serve locally, as well as, financially support local and international ministry partners. In addition, they work directly with our missionaries to provide encouragement and support. Team members meet once a month to pray for our partners, plan local outreach events, and mobilize volunteers to serve outside our walls.

The Communication Team is made of individuals who are gifted in communications through writing, graphic arts, photography, videography, web-design, and social-media.. Those interested in joining this team can provide a portfolio of work to showcase experience and skills.

Safety & Security

The Safety Team is comprised of volunteers who help protect everyone occupying the building both during regularly-scheduled and special events by monitoring the premises, in addition to knowing and implementing safety procedures during crisis. Volunteers serve each Sunday, on a rotating monthly basis, during both services and by-request for special events.  Interested volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and a covenant member and positive representative of Life Church.
