Updates and Reminders for the week ending 11/21/2025

This Week We…

Math:  We finished Topic D and took  the Module 3 Test!  We’re so proud of how hard everyone is working.

ELA:   In Wit and Wisdom,  we read a new text, Moonshot.  Students  identified and sequenced the stages of the Apollo 11 mission.  We also noticed repetition in the text and explained how it contributes to the essential meaning.  We also examined adverbs and their function in sentences.

In Fundations, we began Unit 6.  We continued learning about open syllable exceptions.

Science/ Social Studies:   We learned about Economics and worked on our Market Day products.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL):  DIVE Expectations:  We began our Second Step lessons and focused on how practice helps the brain grow new pathways..

ELA: When we return from Winter Break, we will continue working in Module 2 of Wit and Wisdom.  Students will read One Giant Leap and sequence the stages of Apollo 11 as described in this second text.

When we return from Winter Break, we will finish working   in Unit 6  with open syllable exceptions.

Fundations Unit 6 Family Letter

Science/ Social Studies:  When we come back from Winter break we will start our Human Body unit which will include: Skeletal System, Muscular System and Skin.  We will focus on the function and purpose of each system.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL): We will continue learning about Growth Mindset with our SEL Second Step Lessons.

Nut Allergens: Please remember we are a nut free school. We have had a few children have reactions so please help to keep everyone safe.

Please make sure you have sent in HEADPHONES for your kiddo :)

Snack & Water Bottles! It’s so important for focus and brain development so please pack a snack and water for your child daily. You can leave a water bottle at school for kids to refill daily. Thank you!
