Nearly the end of term 1
I can’t believe that half term is nearly upon us already! I just wanted to let you all know that we have had a fantastic start to the year. The children’s behaviour and attitude to learning is brilliant. I have just completed my first round of lesson observations and all the children were engaged and focused on their learning. The staff all demonstrated they have high expectations of all children and give the right support to enable them to learn.
Well done to both the staff and the children! Keep up the good work!
5 star rating
Well done to Edda, Paula, Marie and Carrie, our lovely catering team, last week they achieved the highest grade on Food Hygiene inspection.
Parent meetings will be held after half term on Tuesday the 31st October from 3.30pm to 7.00pm and Wednesday the 1st November from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm. As last year bookings will need to be made online. A parent mail with instruction will follow this week. If you have problems booking on line please see the office.
E-Safety Sessions for Parents and children (Y4-6)
Parents and their children from Year 4, 5 and 6 are invited (and encouraged!) to attend an E-Safety learning event on Wednesday 15th November from 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Last term's E-Safety training raised a number of important issues that parents and children need to be aware of in order to keep safe online, and we have invited Matt Lovegrove from Engage ESafety back to explore these further. We are keen for families to learn together, and Esafety will be a key theme in Anti-Bullying Week that starts on 13th November. We will send out a signup sheet closer to the date. We look forward to seeing you there. Please see poster here
Uniform Sale donations
Please bring in uniform that your child (ren) no longer need. It should be donated washed and carefully folded, ready to hang up and sell. We would like your school jumpers, cardigans, trousers, skirts, dresses, shirts, shorts and PE kit - we do not sell pants, socks, tights or casual clothes. The uniform sale will be in the reception area, near the office from Monday 16th October for two weeks.'
