Friends of the Hot Springs City Library

September 16, 2024

Meeting was called to order at 3:03 pm by George.

Present: Peggy Heinselman, Francis Raynor, George Parsons, Deanne Hazleton, Josh Davis, Loretta Abbott and Starla Rice acting as secretary were present.  

Starla read the minutes from the August 26, 2024 meeting.  George entertained a motion to approve the minutes.  Peg moved that the August, 2024 minutes be approved. Deanne   seconded that motion.  All members present approved.

Treasurers Report:  Beginning balance was 5868.82 deposits were -0-.  Debits were 665.  Balance is 5203.82.   Discussion:  Deanne moved that the treasurer’s report be approved.  Francis seconded that motion.  All members present approved.  

Old Business: Friends took a look at the Books in Search of Kids banner! Everyone liked it!!

The Friends decided to fundraise this fall with “Guess the Number in the Jar!!” $1 per ticket 6 for $5.00. Drawing will be at the Christmas Tea!

Loretta will have the jar October 20-October 26

Deanne will have the jar November 24-November 30

Peg & George will set up at Buck’s

Josh will set up at home games

New Business:  The Christmas Tea will be December 14, 2024

We will do baskets for Silent Auction!

Starla presented -0- for coloring books.

The next meeting will be October 7, 2024.

George entertained a motion that the meeting be adjourned at 3:51 pm.  George moved that the meeting be adjourned.  Peg seconded that motion.  All members present approved.
