Schedule a meeting with your college counselor to get support with FAFSA and/or review your financial aid letters. FAFSA support days are: Friday 4/5, Wednesday 4/10, and Wednesday 4/17 (at CSU Spur). Book your meeting below, using the appropriate Calendly link:

College Corner:

Apply for the Nurse Corps Scholarship by May 2nd, 2024. This is a 10,000 dollar scholarship for any students who intend to pursue a nursing career.

Apply for the Science Saves Scholarship by completing the linked application and creating a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?” See Ms. Ellis if you need help with the video!

Apply for the Ted and Holly Rollins Scholarship by completing the Google Form and writing a brief essay. Open to all! Deadline: June 1, 2024.

Junior Corner

Exciting Opportunities:

Attend the Broomfield High School Women’s Empowerment Conference on April 6th at 9am. Register HERE.

Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver this summer. If selected for this opportunity, you will work in a ReStore one shift per week! You can fill out the application HERE.

College Corner:  

Apply for the CU Boulder EngiNearMe Program by April 15th! The program runs from June 16-22, and is a residential opportunity (on the CU Boulder Campus). If you are admitted, the program is free!  

Apply for the 2024 Campos Envision Engineering Program at CSU Fort Collins HERE. Applications accepted on a rolling basis. The program runs from June 2 - June 5 and is completely free!

Scholarship Support: Build a Going Merry Profile to access scholarship opportunities. It is never too early to start applying for scholarships!

Prep Academy (Freshman + Sophomore) Corner

Exciting Opportunities:

Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver this summer. If selected for this opportunity, you will work in a ReStore one shift per week! You can fill out the application HERE.

Additionally, current high school sophomores should consider applying to the WPI Frontiers Program, which is a two-week summer STEM experience (residential, in person) in Worcester, MA. DSST students go for FREE! The application is linked here. This application is due on April 30th.  

College Prep Resources:

Volunteering and community service is an important part of your college application. Build your volunteer experience this summer by signing up for a Teen Volunteer Program at Denver Botanic Gardens. Check out the website and reach out to Ms. Ellis for additional support.

Apply for the Business Bound - Junior Achievement Program at the University of Colorado Denver. You will earn 1 college credit hour through CU Denver while learning what it takes to be an entrepreneur and run a successful business. Program dates are Monday, June 10 – Friday, June 14. Apply here by May 27th. Scholarships available!
