Dear Parents/Students:

Congratulations on finishing the 2023/2024 school year! Our last day of classes is Thursday. All of the teachers are very proud of the effort and the progress each student made this year. It was truly a blessing to teach each student. We look forward to all that God has in store at TCS for 2023/2024!

8th & 12th Grade Graduation Ceremony | Thursday, May 25th in Main Sanctuary

Your child will be performing in the Trinity Christian School Graduation Orchestra (this performance is part of your child’s final music grade). Orchestra students must be there at 5:40 p.m. in the Sanctuary where the Christmas and Easter Concerts were performed. Dress code is chapel attire. The 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony starts at 6:00 p.m. and 12th Grade Graduation Ceremony starts at 7:00 p.m.. Your child can be picked up in the foyer at 7:15 p.m. or can remain for the rest of the graduation ceremony (until 7:45 p.m.).**8th Grade Graduates must arrive by 5:40pm and 12th Grade Graduates must arrive by 6:40 pm.

Last Day of School, Thursday, May 25th

The last day of school is a full day with regular uniform.  Students will be checking in textbooks, clearing out their lockers, and finalizing their grades.  **Both 8th and 12th grade graduates are dismissed after their graduation practices.  

Summer School

Summer School is June 5-23rd, 8:30 am - 3 pm.  Contact Mrs. Daniel if you want more information.  

THIS WEEK:

Bible:

6th (Mr. Ortiz): Students will be watching The Chosen and doing an in class project.

7th (Mr. Ortiz): Students will be watching The Chosen and completing an assignment based on the show.

8th (Mrs. Jackson): Students will complete the final exam on Wednesday, May 24th.

English/Language Arts:

6th (Mrs. Jackson):  Students will finish their Digital Poetry Notebooks for their final writing grade and complete a review lesson on the novel, The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket.

7th (Mrs. Jackson): Students will finish their Digital Poetry Notebooks for their final writing grade and complete a review lesson on the novel, The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket.

8th (Mrs. Underwood): Students will finish their fable essay.

Math:

Math 5 (Mrs. Skots): We will complete the review Lessons 118-120. We will take the exam on Thursday. Please bring your computer on Thursday.

Math 6 (Mrs. Jackson): Students will complete a review lesson on Monday and take the final exam May 23rd & 24th. There are no corrections on the final exam.

Math 7/Course 2 (Mrs. Manning): Students will complete Lesson #115 on Monday and take the end-of-course exam on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 23-24.  **Students must bring a charged computer for the final exam.  It is online only!

Pre-Algebra (Mrs. Underwood): Students will take the final exam on May 23rd-24th. There are no corrections on the final exam. Students must pass this exam with a 70% or higher to show mastery before moving on to Algebra 1.

Algebra (Mrs. Daniel): Students will review for the final exam on Monday.  Students will take the final exam on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 24-25th.  There are no corrections on the final exam.  Students must pass this exam with a 70% or higher to show mastery before moving on to Geometry.

Social Studies:

6th (Mrs. Jackson): Students will finish their final projects and present to the class.

7th (Mrs. Underwood): We have completed our World Studies curriculum for this year. We will continue reading our book.  

8th (Mrs. Jackson): Students will finish their final projects and present to the class.  

Science:

6th: Students will be presenting their research project about a medical discovery and prepare for their final exam on Tuesday.

7th: We will continue Ch. 23 this week and finish our curriculum for the year and take their final exam on Thursday.

Earth Science 8th (Mr. Davies): We will finish up the year examining deep space objects. We weren’t able to make our comet last week, so we will make it this week.
