Diamond Equipment Info
- Treat this equipment as if you owned it!
- Umpire equipment is stored separately.
- Report any missing or damaged items to Property Officer either directly, via scorecard or post on TeamApp equipment chat.

- Each diamond equipment set includes:
1x backnet
1x pitcher’s mat with plate
1x diamond bag (marked with number)
1x safety base (1st)
2x bases (2nd & 3rd)
1x home plate
4x pins (velcro) for bases
6x pins for pitcher’s mat
4x boundary markers
4x backnet pegs (red or yellow)
1x mallet
1x brush for velcro bases
1x container for pegs

Diamond Setup Duty
- Position bases correctly on diamond (see photos).
- If required, clean velcro using scrubbing brush.
- Position pitchers mat and use 6 pins.
- Setup the backnet
- Lengthen ropes to about ¾ full length
- Stand poles on dead ball line (live) with centre pole behind the net.
- Hammer in rope pegs (5) outside line (see photo)
- Tighten all ropes
- Hammer in bottom pegs (6)
- Position the cones on the lines at normal outfield distance from home plate.

Diamond Packup Duty
- Collect bases (4) and velcro pins (4)
- Collect cones (4)
- Remove pins for pitcher’s mat and roll neatly (see photo)
- Check you have collected all metal pins (4x base and 6x mat) - metal pins left on the grounds damage lawn mowing equipment!
- Store metal mat pins (6) in the plastic canister - see photo
- Packup the backnet (see photos below)
Step 1 - Shorten all ropes (5) to minimum length
Step 2 - Fold net in half (side poles together)
Step 3 - Put all ropes between net
Step 4 - Fold central pole to side poles
Step 5 - Roll all poles in net (tight and neat)
- Neatly put all the gear together near the backnet position (see photo)

Step 3 - Put all ropes and pegs between net

Gazebo Use
- CSA provides 2 gazebos per diamond.
- Gazebos are marked with diamond number and H (home) or (A) away, eg 6H.
- Gazebo are stored in storeroom (green shed).
- Treat this equipment as if you owned it!
- Teams MAY collect & setup their own gazebo (DIY).
- Teams MUST NOT leave gazebo for next team unless they agree to packup and return.
- Teams MUST packup and return their gazebo to storeroom
- Teams MUST NOT leave for collection with other diamond equipment.
- Tie-down ropes and pegs MUST be used.
- Ensure no ropes are loose/dangling.
- Report missing or damaged items to the Property Officer
- Each gazebo kit includes:
1x gazebo (frame and canopy)
1x carry bag
4x ropes (attached)
4x yellow rope pegs (attached)
4x steel leg pegs (in peg bag)
2x side walls (detach before storage)

Umpire Equipment Duty
GENERAL
- Umpire gear is stored in CSA storeroom (green shed) - see photo
- Keys from Bar Manager.
- Contact (Property Officer): Marty 0400 788 353
SETUP (11:00 - 11:30am)
- Unlock storeroom, if required.
- Move both racks from storeroom to nearby bar - see photos.
- Close door, gate and roller-door if leaving unattended.
- Return keys to Bar Manager.
PACKUP (5:00 - 5:30pm)
- Check all items have been returned, ie
10x masks and chest plates on hangers (numbered)
10x umpire’s counters
10x hand sanitiser
10x pairs of leg guards on hooks (not numbered)
- Report any missing items to Property Officer (or post on TeamApp equipment chat).
- Sanitise all gear (counters, mask, inside of chest plate and inside of leg guards) using provided spray.
- Move both racks back to correct location in the storeroom - see photos.
- Close door, gate and roller-door if leaving unattended.

GENERAL
- PA system trolley is stored in CSA Storeroom (green shed) near the BBQs (see photo)
- Keys from Bar Manager.
- If leaving storeroom unattended, close the door, gate and roller-door.

SETUP (11:00-11:30am)
- Move trolley from storeroom to bar.
- Setup stands and speakers - use 2x bins to prevent trip hazard from tripod leg. Extend legs to “bin depth”, no other adjustments required. (see photo)
- Disconnect auto door closer - with door closed, push up firmly on top arm (see photo)

- Block the door open to prevent cutting power cable
- Connect and adjust settings (see below).
- Check that cables aren’t a trip hazard, use tape if necessary.
- Setup microphone with red cable and stand.
- Test microphone (no tapping, just say 123).
- Turn microphone (INPUT 2) volume to 0 (off).

PACKUP (5:45-6:15pm)
- Disconnect and coil all cables - DON’T drag speaker cables ends along concrete
- Pack all items back onto trolley - Use strap to secure speakers (see photo)
- Reconnect auto door closer (easiest with door closed).

- Report any missing items to Property Officer.
- If raining, cover with plastic/tarp.
- Return trolley back to storeroom.

Changeroom Duty
GENERAL
- Basket containing hand wash and signs kept in storeroom (green shed) or canteen cupboard.
- Spare supplies kept in the canteen or green shed.
- NOTE - public toilets are on an auto lock.
SETUP (11:15 - 11:30am)
- Collect keys from Bar Manager.
- Refill hand wash pumps (if required).
- Unlock changerooms.
- Put door signs on public toilets (2) and changerooms (4).
- Put hand wash in toilets (2) and change rooms (4).
- Check toilet paper and spare in each toilet/changeroom.
- Check toilets and changerooms are clean and operational (flush toilets).
- Report any issues to committee via chat.
- Return keys to Bar Manager.
PACKUP (5:30 - 5:45pm)
- Collect keys from Bar Manager.
- Collect door signs from doors (6).
- Collect hand wash pumps.
- Check for general cleanliness.
- Refill hand wash pumps (if required).
- Check change rooms are empty
- Lock changerooms.
- Report any issues to committee via chat.
- Return keys to Bar Manager.

Equipment Helper Duty
GENERAL
- Gazebo transport is a team duty and NOT the responsibility of the equipment transporter or helpers, team fines apply for gazebos left on the diamond.

DROP-OFF (10:45 - 11:30am)
- Meet at the storeroom (green shed) or near bar.
- Assist with drop-off of diamond equipment.
- If required, fill sand to batting boxes and catcher area.
PICK-UP (5:00 - 5:45pm)
- Meet at the storeroom (green shed) or near bar.
- Assist with pickup-off of diamond equipment.
- Collect any rubbish left on diamonds.
- If required, collect gazebos and report dugout locations to committee.
