Diamond Equipment Info

1x backnet

1x pitcher’s mat with plate

1x diamond bag (marked with number)

1x safety base (1st)

2x bases (2nd & 3rd)

1x home plate

4x pins (velcro) for bases

6x pins for pitcher’s mat

Diamond Setup Duty

  1. Position bases correctly on diamond (see photos).
  2. If required, clean velcro using scrubbing brush.
  3. Position pitchers mat and use 6 pins.
  4. Setup the backnet
  1. Lengthen ropes to about ¾ full length
  2. Stand poles on dead ball line (live) with centre pole behind the net.
  3. Hammer in rope pegs (5) outside line (see photo)
  4. Tighten all ropes
  5. Hammer in bottom pegs (6)
  1. Position the cones on the lines at normal outfield distance from home plate.

Diamond Packup Duty

  1. Collect bases (4) and velcro pins (4)
  2. Collect cones (4)
  3. Remove pins for pitcher’s mat and roll neatly (see photo)
  4. Check you have collected all metal pins (4x base and 6x mat) - metal pins left on the grounds damage lawn mowing equipment!
  5. Store metal mat pins (6) in the plastic canister - see photo
  6. Packup the backnet (see photos below)

Step 1 - Shorten all ropes (5) to minimum length

Step 2 - Fold net in half (side poles together)

Step 3 - Put all ropes between net

Step 4 - Fold central pole to side poles

Step 5 - Roll all poles in net (tight and neat)

  1. Neatly put all the gear together near the backnet position (see photo)

Pack all diamond gear together neatly

Gazebo Use

1x gazebo (frame and canopy)

1x carry bag

4x ropes (attached)

4x yellow rope pegs (attached)

4x steel leg pegs (in peg bag)

2x side walls (detach before storage)

Umpire Equipment Duty

GENERAL

SETUP (11:00 - 11:30am)

  1. Unlock storeroom, if required.
  2. Move both racks from storeroom to nearby bar - see photos.
  3. Close door, gate and roller-door if leaving unattended.
  4. Return keys to Bar Manager.

PACKUP (5:00 - 5:30pm)

  1. Check all items have been returned, ie

10x masks and chest plates on hangers (numbered)

10x umpire’s counters

10x hand sanitiser

10x pairs of leg guards on hooks (not numbered)

  1. Report any missing items to Property Officer (or post on TeamApp equipment chat).
  2. Sanitise all gear (counters, mask, inside of chest plate and inside of leg guards) using provided spray.
  3. Move both racks back to correct location in the storeroom - see photos.
  4. Close door, gate and roller-door if leaving unattended.

Speaker/PA System Duty

GENERAL

SETUP (11:00-11:30am)

  1. Move trolley from storeroom to bar.
  2. Setup stands and speakers - use 2x bins to prevent trip hazard from tripod leg.  Extend legs to “bin depth”, no other adjustments required. (see photo)
  3. Disconnect auto door closer - with door closed, push up firmly on top arm (see photo)

  1. Block the door open to prevent cutting power cable
  2. Connect and adjust settings (see below).
  3. Check that cables aren’t a trip hazard, use tape if necessary.
  4. Setup microphone with red cable and stand.
  5. Test microphone (no tapping, just say 123).
  6. Turn microphone (INPUT 2) volume to 0 (off).

 

PACKUP (5:45-6:15pm)

  1. Disconnect and coil all cables - DON’T drag speaker cables ends along concrete
  2. Pack all items back onto trolley - Use strap to secure speakers (see photo)
  3. Reconnect auto door closer (easiest with door closed).

  1. Report any missing items to Property Officer.
  2. If raining, cover with plastic/tarp.
  3. Return trolley back to storeroom.

INPUT 2 - microphone cable (red)

MIX OUTPUT - connect using long cable (blue) to “MP3” spreaker

POWER - connect using 10m extension cord to power on inside wall near canteen window

SETTINGS:

BLUETOOTH VOLUME = 50%

INPUT 1 = 0%

INPUT 2 (mic volume) = 0% or 75%
(0% for connect/disconnect) 

EQUALIZER HIGH = 50%

EQUALIZER LOW = 50%

“B115MP3” Speaker

LOCATION:     Near grass

CONNECTIONS:

INPUT 1 - connect using long cable (green) from “W” speaker

POWER - connect to high power point on corner of building

SETTINGS:

MP3 LEVEL = 0%

INPUT 1 = 50%

INPUT 2 = 0%

EQUALIZER HIGH = 50%

EQUALIZER LOW = 50%
