Weekly Team Practice Reservations

Over the past 36 months Junction Place Sportsplex has served as a practice facility for over 70 teams and organizations operating in the Metropolitan Area. Our experience has allowed us to better understand what teams and their families need and what steps we can take to meet and exceed those needs.

We also have come to understand that while universal threads exist, there is not a “one size fits all” mode. All customers have  a desire for straightforward scheduling and pricing, a clean and well maintained facility and professional and approachable staff members. However,we respect that each individual team and organization has different parameters in which to operate. It is this understanding and the responsibility associated with being the premier indoor training facility in the region, that we have put together a Team Practice Request for Reservation. This process allows us to remain as accessible to all while at the same time, balancing the realities outlined below:

• Demand for our space and services often outpaces our supply

• Most desired days/times are Tues-Thurs 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00 PM

• Almost every team request access to our Indoor Field (a limited resource)
• Our building is not physically large enough to include additional perks such as monthly memberships, ability to host try-outs/showcases and options for flexible scheduling for all teams interested in our services

Given the reality facing both us as an organization and our large customer base, we have again decided to craft a schedule for the Fall/Winter 2023 & Spring 2024 by collecting information from interested parties, comparing that data against other request and availability, and using our established value system to determine which request work best with the overall operation and mission of Junction Place Sportsplex!

Who?

Teams (Youth or Adult Baseball/ Softball/ Soccer/Flag Football) that are organized with either an independent organization, group or school, that want to utilize our Indoor Field, Batting Cages OR Both Field and Batting Cages on a regular basis of at least once a week (request can be made for more than once a week but likelihood of “Volume Pricing” is low).  This rental request is called a Weekly Team Practice Rental.

What? 

Weekly Team Practice Rentals are conducted with an, at least, once a week scheduled time/location @ Jplex and at least for one month (4- consecutive weeks)

When?

FALL 2024: Is outlined as starting on August 1 and ending on November 18, 2024

• Weekly Team Practice Rental Request for Reservation is CURRENTLY OPEN
• JPLEX will NOT confirm any Fall 2023 Weekly Team Practice Rentals until Friday, July 26, 2024
• Fall 2024 Request for Reservation CAN INCLUDE Winter 2024/25 & Spring 2025

Winter 2024/2025: Is outlined as a specific (6) Week Period of November 28- January 6

• Details about remaining availability, open and closed request period, and price parameters will be provided during Fall 2024 when we confirm Fall 2025 reservations that may or may not include Winter 2024/25

Spring 2025: Is outlined as starting on January 9, 2025 and ending on June 30, 2025

• Details about remaining availability, open and closed request period, and price parameters will be provided during Fall 2024 when we confirm Fall 2024 reservations that may or may not include Winter 2024/25 AND Spring 2025

Weekly Team Practice Rentals are most often requested between 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday- Thursday. Monday, Friday and Weekend Reservations historically fill up, but often do not have as much competition for specific time slots as do Tues-Thurs. We are also open to “Weekend Flex Scheduling” for teams/organizations with whom we have established a working relationship in the past.. All Weekly Team Practice Rentals follow these basic principals:

• Teams are defined as being 10-12 participants (exceptions can be made with prior approval by JPLEX scheduling team)
• Field time is scheduled by the hour and, most commonly, at the start of the whole hour
• Included with Baseball/Softball Weekly Team Practice Rentals is access to (2) Batting Cages (and in most cases- 2 Batting Tee Stations) for 45 minutes

• Cages and Tee Stations are scheduled either before or after field reservation

PLAN OF ACTION FOR TEAMS & JPLEX:

1. Teams/ Organizations interested in Weekly Team Practice Rentals  (for at least (1) span of (4)-consecutive weeks up to a rolling reservation of up to  (12) months) will need to:

1. Read and understand the Tiers, Ranges and Priorities and share that information with decision makers and families associated with their team/organization
2. Fill out THIS REQUEST FORM ASAP

2. Teams/Organizations should know that forms submitted before 11:59 PM on FRIDAY, July 26, 2024 will have priority consideration for their days, times and proposed rates.
3. JPS will review submissions- if all proposals fall into our acceptable ranges (outlined below) and there are no overlapping requests (as in there is not a day/time for which more than one team/organization is requesting usage) all proposals will be accepted as offered and teams will be notified.

1. However, if there are proposals that don’t fall within the acceptable ranges OR there are multiple requests for the same day/time- JPS will notify affected parties and outline alternative options/give parties a chance to adjust their proposal in an effort to secure the request.

1. We have broken down available Indoor Field times (most in demand, yet, limited resource) into 4- Tiers:

1. Tier 1 (Highest Demand)- Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 6:00-7:00 PM

1. Payment Range- $65/month/participant- $75/month/participant

2. Tier 2- Monday 6:00-7:00 AND Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 7:00-8:00 PM

1. Payment Range- $55/month/participant- $65/month/participant

3. Tier 3- Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursdays 8:00-9:00 PM

1. Payment Range- $50/month/participant- $60/month/participant

4. Tier 4 (Lowest Demand)- Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 5:00-6:00 PM

1. Payment Range- $50/month/participant- $55/month/participant

2. Priorities

1. Below are the factors that we will consider when evaluating multiple requests for the same Day/ Time

1. Length of Proposal- How many months will a team/organization reserve and pay for the requested day/time (more time = more desirable)
2. Volume of Proposal- How many participants will a team/organization include in their proposal for a single or multiple time frames
3. Number of Payments/Payees- Will there be a single, one time payment for requested time (most desirable)? Will there be a single source of payment on multiple occasions (i.e. single check each month for a full team or organization)?
4. History with JPS- Has your team or organization used our facility before?

Quick Facts & Final Thoughts

• Request will be received and reviewed as they arrive but, final decisions will be made after July 26, 2024
• If space allows, request will continue to be accepted after July 26, 2024
• All accepted reservations will be finalized with a contract outlining the terms, dates and details and will need to be signed (electronically) by a member with appropriate authority of the organization.
• For teams/organizations that opt for “Monthly Payments”, their first installment will be due (7) days after signing the contract outlining the terms of the agreement. Failure to pay within the (7) day deadline will void the contract, and that time/day will reopen for other teams/organizations.
