Topic 7: Osmosis and Transpiration

Task 1:

Photosynthesis - Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into sugar, glucose, or oxygen. Photosynthesis includes the four main parts of a plant, the leaves, the stem, the roots and the flower.

Osmosis - Osmosis is the process by which water moves from the roots of the plant upwards defying gravity and then dispersing itself between the leaves. Tiny cells found in the plant called xylem help the water move upwards. More tiny cells called Phloem help distribute the water around the plant.

Transpiration - Transpiration is when the sunlight the plant absorbs evaporates the water that has also been absorbed by the plant.
