Arizona Masters Travel Team

About the Arizona Masters travel team:

The goal is to have an all-Arizona team (including snowbirds) to represent our great State 48 at the USATF National Championships, and see how we can fare against teams from all over the USA.

The Arizona Masters USATF Club number is 48-9876

Here are the different ways to become part of the Arizona Masters and the travel team.

You must be age 25 or older, have a current USATF membership, have a yearly or monthly membership with the Arizona Masters club, and finally, you must add club # 48-9876 to your USATF membership.

Click here for a tutorial on how to add a club to an existing membership. If signing up for a membership for the first time, simply add that club during your signup. Ages 12 and up are allowed in the club, but only those over age 25 can compete at a Masters Championship.

Note: Members of the travel team are strongly suggested to have met at least a 65% age grade in the event they desire to compete in at Nationals, but we will take as many relay athletes that want to go for that, as relays score the most points for our team. We can have an unlimited number of relay teams in each 5-year age group.

Here are the travel team membership options:

Arizona Masters Monthly Membership - $50 monthly. Choose this membership if you desire to simply train with the club in person. Join here It includes the following:

Competition top - singlet or t-shirt
Membership and affiliation with the club until the end of the calendar year.
Team-only discounts at designated races in Phoenix.
Special discounted rates on competitions hosted by Coach Flash and Arizona Masters
Discounted hotel rooms for those attending USATF National Championships
Built-in roommates for those attending USATF National - cut your hotel costs in half with a teammate as a roommate.
Built-in relay team members for the 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800 relays

Arizona Masters Yearly Membership - $160 per calendar year for new members, $100 for returning members. Choose this membership if you live far away and won’t be able to train with the club. Join here. It includes the following:

Competition top - singlet or t-shirt
Membership and affiliation with the club until the end of the calendar year.
Discounted Coaching Fee - $160 per month if you want coaching from afar.
Team-only discounts at designated races in Phoenix.
Special discounted rates on competitions hosted by Coach Flash and Arizona Masters
Discounted hotel rooms for those attending USATF National Championships
Built-in roommates for those attending USATF Nationals - cut your hotel costs in half with a teammate as a roommate.
Discounted drop-in rate for group workouts if you’re in town.

Arizona Masters Monthly Private Coaching - $160 per month. Choose this option if you want in-person coaching and have specific goals and want professional 1-1 instruction to reach your potential. Join here. It includes the following:

Competition top - singlet or t-shirt
Membership and affiliation with the club until the end of the calendar year.
All weekly group workouts are included with this.
Team-only discounts at designated races in Phoenix.
Special discounted rates on competitions hosted by Coach Flash and Arizona Masters

3 hours of monthly in-person instruction

Arizona Masters Elite Squad Travel Team

There are those among us that have the genes, the talent and/or work ethic that puts us at the top of the field in our sport; this is the Elite Squad. The Elite Squad has the ability to earn reimbursement for entries at USATF Nationals and sponsorships, along with many other perks.

To qualify for the Elite Squad Travel Team, you must select a membershil plan and meet the specifications for the travel team, as listed above, and have met any one of the following conditions:

You have won a USATF or Senior Games National Championship in indoor or outdoor track in the past 2 years.
You have achieved an 85% or higher age-graded performance in the last two years. The current age-graded calculator is here.
On mastersrankings.com, you were ranked in the top 3 last year in the country in your age group for an event you will compete in at the upcoming USATF Masters National Championships.
You have a current performance (from the last 6 months) that would have been top 6 in the appropriate age group) at a USATF Masters National Championship in the past 2 years. Here’s a good place to find those results.
