Date: Friday, December 1, 2017

Location: Bethlehem United Church of Christ (our regular rehearsal venue)

Special attention on attendance!

Timely attendance at this rehearsal is mandatory for performance in Sunday’s concert. On time = inside the building and ready to sing at 6pm with your choir team. We are not without distractions that will test the resolve of our parents and singers this evening: 

  1. Midnight Madness is happening in downtown Ann Arbor. Allow extra time for your commute!
  2. BUCC is hosting a Living Nativity on the front lawn from 6:00-8:30 pm. Please help your singer stay directed upon arrival at BUCC. We invite AAYC members and families to visit the church’s event AFTER rehearsal.

Call time: 5:50 pm for all members

Rehearsal time: 6:00-7:00 pm for Descant (regular rehearsal length), 6:00-8:00 pm for Concert (Note: ½ hr early dismissal for Concert Choir only)

Parking: No parking in the BUCC lot. Parking is available in nearby city parking lots/decks or at metered or street parking.

Attire: No uniforms. Singers wear their regular clothes; our rehearsal is a run through of the concert repertoire.

Music: NOTE - NO MUSIC OR FOLDERS (this is different than what was originally published).

WINTER CONCERT TICKETS FOR SUNDAY

All preordered Winter Concert tickets will be available to pick up at the Will Call table on Sunday, December 3rd, beginning at 3:30pm. You should have received an email receipt for your ticket order, including split receipts (if your order contained multiple parties). Please review your receipt(s) carefully. The name under which each party’s tickets are held is on this receipt. You will need this information to quickly and efficiently collect your tickets from Will Call.

Last minute ticket sales will also be available at the door of BUCC, beginning at 3:30pm on concert day.Ticket prices remain the same - $10 adults (18+), $5 youth (up to 18 yrs), $5 seniors (65+).

Date: Sunday, December 3, 2017

Location: Bethlehem United Church of Christ (423 S Fourth Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104)

Call time: 2:20 pm for all members

Photos: A group photo will be taken of each choir in the sanctuary at report time (2:20pm). Note: This photo session is closed to the public; there will be a photo opportunity for our guests during the performance.

Post-Concert Reception Food/Drink Donations: All attendees are invited to a post-concert reception of light desserts and snacks in the Fellowship Hall (ground floor of BUCC).

We kindly ask each AAYC family to donate the following items for the reception:

1) Snacks: Plate/box of 12-24 nut-free finger foods -AND- 

2) Drinks: 6-10 packaged drinks or a 2-L drink. 

Please deliver reception donations to the Fellowship Hall prior to concert start; volunteers will be on hand to accept donations.

Ticket pickup and/or purchase / Seating:

Parking: Parking in the BUCC lot is reserved for HANDICAPPED use only. Please use nearby parking lots/decks, or metered parking to leave church spaces for those who might otherwise have difficulty attending our concert. Bonus: City parking is FREE on Sundays.

Attire: Arrive in full AAYC uniform. See Uniform Preparation below.

Music: No music or folders should be brought to BUCC.

LOOKING AHEAD: CHORALE CABARET AND SILENT AUCTION ARE COMING!

Our biggest (and most entertaining) fundraiser of the year is coming! The AAYC Chorale Cabaret is a variety show starring your talented young members, performing individual or group acts. Each of our choirs will also have a special number in the show! The show is open to the public and free admission.

In conjunction with the Chorale Cabaret, we hold an amazing Silent Auction! The Silent Auction will be available online in mid-February, with final bidding to occur during intermission of the Chorale Cabaret. Everyone had a blast at our Inaugural Chorale Cabaret and Silent Auction last year. So be sure to mark March 9, 2018 on your calendar for the big event!

CHORALE CABARET AUDITION SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN

Interested in being an individual or group act in Chorale Cabaret? Get ready to SHOW US YOUR TALENT, choir members! Singing, dancing, instrumentals, skits, jokes, magic – start practicing now...because auditions for the Chorale Cabaret Variety Show are Sunday, February 4, 2018! Auditions will be held between 2:30 and 6:30 pm at Westminster Church, 1500 Scio Church Road in Ann Arbor. All you have to do is wow the friendly judges with how well prepared you are! For families that are fundraising: Items procured for the AAYC silent auction qualify towards your $150 fundraising obligation. NOTE: Credit towards fundraising given is 50% of the Fair Market Value of the item procured.
