TTE RECEIVES TWO STATE AWARDS: RECOGNIZED FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AND GROWTH

We are so very pleased to share with you that Timber Trail has received two state awards from the Colorado Department of Education for exceptional performance on the 2022 CMAS tests. The first is the  'John Irwin Award'.

"The John Irwin awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time. These schools received an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Achievement indicator of the School Performance Frameworks reflecting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science."

The second award is the ‘The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award’.

“The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools "exceed" expectations on the indicator related to longitudinal academic growth and "meet or exceed" expectations on the indicator related to academic growth gaps.”

TTE was one of only 10 DCSD schools, including Rock Canyon High School  to receive both awards. Twenty-eight  DCSD schools received the 'John Irwin Award' and eighteen DCSD schools received the ‘The Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award’.

The ratings on the School Performance Framework are based on the Spring 2022 CMAS scores.  The scores we received on the assessments last school year show the work and pride that our students and staff have for learning and instruction.  It takes a village to achieve this kind of success and we couldn't do it without our supportive families and community.  Thank you for making Timber Trail the school 'Where Hearts and Minds Connect'.
