GENERAL CONTEST RULES

We are conducting these events in accordance with the Official Ironmind Rules for each event.

Wearing the contest shirt is mandatory.

Order of lifters determined by opening attempt in rising bar.

Powder or block chalk are the only grip aids allowed. No liquid chalks, alcohol solutions or alcohol wipes. Any competitor using any alcohol solution or liquid chalk will be immediately disqualified from the competition.

No competitor or coach will be allowed on the lifting platform with their own towel. This is also cause for immediate disqualification.

Athlete can switch hands as needed during their attempts for Rolling Thunder and Silver Bullet.

Athlete can start at whatever weight or gripper they want; they do not have to start at the opening weight.

Athlete will get a maximum of three weight attempts in Rolling Thunder and Axle Deadlift.

Athlete can skip weights and do not have to take every weight jump.

Once an athlete misses a lift, they are done for the event. If an athlete does not get a qualifying score in the Silver Bullet, they will have up to 2 attempts to get one.

In Rolling Thunder and Axle Deadlift, athlete must fully lock out the weight, show control, and look at the judge for a down command. Judge will not give a down command unless these requirements are met!  Once given the down command, athlete should then return the weight back to the ground with their hand still on the implement.  Dropping the weight is a no lift.  The judge has the final decision on if the lift is passed or not.  Arguing with the judge could result in removal from the contest.

  1. SILVER BULLET HOLD

The grippers being used in the competition are brand new and will not be available for warm up. They will only be available on the platform once the contest begins. Some grippers may be provided for warm ups but it is recommended that you bring your own.

A “qualifying score” is any hold longer than 2 seconds. Any hold shorter than 2 seconds will be considered an invalid attempt.

SCORING:
