“Brrrrrr”as I shivered as a frozen feeling took over my body in an instant, as I trudged through what felt like ice I soon was just as deep as I needed to be to put on my flippers to go for a dive for a well deserved feed of kinas with my mum. As I struggled to put my flippers on I felt frustrated so I stormed up on to the rocks and sat on a not so comfortable sand bed, as I struggled to put on my flippers I heard a voice, it was my little sister having a argument with my mum because my mum told her to go up on the rocks because she was shivering and kept complaining about the cold, but my little sister wanted to stay with me and my mum in the water but luckily my older sister “Breeana” came to the rescue and got my little sister “Neave” out and got her warm and changed. When Neave and Breeana were gone me and my mum started to go deeper, when it was time to start to swim I tried to adjust to the cold by bending over and putting my head in the water. When I got comfortable with the water I dived in and a burst of coldness started following me.
My whole body was stiff with frostiness I felt in the zone and in my own space in the water because it was calm, majestic and the seaweed was drifting side to side in a pattern. When I s//////////////aw a big kina I dived down and my goggles started to fill up with water and it was also getting foggy very easily so every time I came back up to breath I had to take the goggles of and dip them in the water then shake them to get all of the excess water out so it was empty and clear. Even though the kinas looked big under the water when I came up out of the water they actually looked medium size. While I was diving down I spotted a huge sea slug /nudibranch on a rock. It was black in the middle and white on the outside, and then my mum pointed out another one just below it. This one was small and it was coloured pink and orange. A few kinas later I was getting even more cold so I told my mum I was going to go back to our truck. While I was heading back I was in the shallows swimming when I found this old tuna can so I picked it up then I went over this kind of fish laying under the sand and when it moved I screamed in my snorkel and quickly swam away accidentally dropping the old tuna can I had found. When I got up to our car I wrapped myself in a towel and sat in the car.
When I got bored I took off my towel and walked to this platform thing in the sea and jumped off it. Then I saw a group of people coming over so I dived off and went back to my truck, and saw that my nana and papa were there and they brang some food with them, so we all had lunch than I went fishing with my mum, when we were walking to the rocks I remembered that I needed to get something so my mum kept walking to the rocks and I walked back to our truck. When I came back my mum told me that some dogs that were running around had came over and taken our bait off of the hooks and ate it so I said “those dogs are lucky they didn't get hooked up!” But luckily I had brang a little bit of bait when I had came back. When we got to the rocks we had to walk to the higher ones by walking through chest high water, while we were walking through the water my jumper got wet and it was very cold. When we got there I put on some new bait and chucked out the line. But I soon found out that it was stuck on a rock and so I wiggled it around to get it loose then pulled it back. I saw that it was to rocky where I was so I moved to another rock on the opposite side and then chucked it out there but it also got stuck so I gave the rod to my mum to hold while I go and get the hook back. I took off my jumper and started to carefully go and get the hook back, when I was walking the sea was angry and the waves were strong, when I got to the very cold. THE END
