Exciting News for SES!

Do you remember that epic Hoops & Heels fundraiser that netted $80K for our beloved school? Well, we have a stellar announcement to make: We're doing a PLAYGROUND MAKEOVER! And we're hoping to have it complete for the 2018-19 school year!

In a most exciting coincidence, our friends and neighbors at KHS are also conducting a playground overhaul project. They've been researching, meeting with potential companies and doing site visits for over five months. Their committee contains not only two parent/pediatric OTs, but a parent who has overseen the building of multiple playgrounds! KHS has offered SES all of their research, insight and a seat at the table (literally… during interviews with playground equipment companies).

There are still questions… should we team up with KHS and buy equipment at the same time from the same company? (If we do, we will both receive significant savings.) Is this a done deal? Can we make this happen in time for August? We don’t have all the answers yet, but we are going to try to make it happen. Questions? Thoughts? Know anyone who owns a landscaping company… or an excavator? Please contact Jodi and Amie by replying to this Scoop.

K-4 Yearbook Deadline has been EXTENDED

For real, this is the very, very, very last call. Coffee Pond shuts it all down tonight at midnight. So if you have not already (and we know who you are) order yours NOW at Visit > select “Yearbook Program” > “Yearbook Order” and use the password sesyearbook18. Enter your child’s name and grade; then select his/her teacher from the drop-down menu. Yearbooks cost $15 each and will be distributed through your child’s classroom the last week of school. Questions? Please contact Kris Jandora (

Field Day is Coming

Field Day is Friday, June 1st. Did you do everything you’re supposed to do? Not yet? OK, please go order your child’s t-shirt immediately because that deadline is Tuesday, May 8th.
