The kids did an excellent job of expressing their feelings and love for Mothers!
Big thank you to Harshad bhai Shah for sponsoring our Mother’s day lunch . Support from community members helps make such events possible and successful.
We had a very interesting session by Father Vincent on Jain-Christian dialogue with more than 25 people attending from our community on May 27. The visit highlighted our common link of humanity going beyond religion and how we benefit from accepting anekantvaad in our lives.

Panel discussion on college admissions and beyond
We had a very insightful discussion during this event. It was kicked off by a presentation from a high school senior going to Harvard followed by a panel discussion with 5 Jain youth panelists on their college experiences including topics like internships, making friends, living away from home, dealing with parental anxiety, dealing with difficult roommates amongst many others. We look forward to continuing this event next year and welcome your suggestions on topics that can be added to it!

A reminder that we have taken on an initiative around meeting lunches going forward - For leftovers we have two options:
Option 1: The person responsible for a particular dish takes leftovers back home
Option 2: We will collect the leftovers and deliver it to NCSU students
Food served during monthly meetings and special events has played a vital role in building our community over the years. It has enabled us to spend quality time to learn Jainism and socialize with other fellow Jains without having to worry about our usual lunch/dinner planning that day. This wouldn't have been possible without the hard work and monetary donations from several individuals. We are extremely grateful for their efforts and thank them for their continued contributions.
Please contact our food coordinator, Mr. Rajan Chheda @ (978) 408-7284 for any questions / details.
