ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS!!!  Anyone who has PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the month of NOVEMBER will be put in a drawing for a great prize! 

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE

Bring in Non-Perishable Items like canned vegetables, gravy, boxes of mashed potatoes, etc.  The Homeroom

with the most items will win a bagel party compliments of the AMBASSADORS.  All items must be brought in by THURSDAY, November 16!

Friday is SUPERHERO, SUPER THANKFUL DAY.  Please dress up as your favorite superhero. Each class will compete for which class has the most students dressed as superheroes.  The HSE Character Club believes good character is a super power!  We encourage all students to dress up as their favorite superhero!  During homeroom, all those dressed up will be tallied and the winner will be the grade with most students dressed up.  The prize is a $100 donation from HSECC to the winning grade.

Looking for COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS while having fun? Volunteer to be a TUTOR at East Dover, Cedar Grove, or Hooper Ave Elementary after school for an hour at your convenience! Please see Ms. Fitzgerald in W30 or M22 for an application packet.

ANY SENIOR BOY OR GIRL INTERESTED IN PLAYING IN THE 9TH ANNUAL STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME, you must pick up a permission slip from Mr. Cohen in Room E5B by Thursday, Nov. 29th. You also must attend a brief but MANDATORY meeting after school on Tuesday, December 4th in Room E5B. The first 25 seniors to hand in their money and permission slip will be able to play. The game is Friday, December 7th.

COME OUT AND WATCH THE STUDENT FACULTY BASKETBALL GAME on Friday, December 7th at 6:00pm.

Tickets are only $3.00.  You will also have the chance to win various prizes from our school and local

 merchants. There will be door prizes as well as a gift auction.  Come see your favorite teachers play

against the Seniors!  See any basketball player or basketball coach for tickets.

The KEY CLUB will be collecting loose change from now until November 15th as a part of the Trick or Treat for UNICEF cause.  All money raised by High School East will go towards the Eliminate Project to help safe and protect moms and babies from maternal and neonatal tetanus. The Guidance Department will also hav4e a donation box. Any questions, see Mrs. Weinberger in Guidance.

CLUB NEWS

There will be a MEDICAL CLUB         meeting this Wednesday, Nov. 14th in E06. A forensic nurse will be coming to speak about her profession.  All are welcome.

There will be a SKI AND SNOWBOARD CLUB meeting this Thursday, Nov. 15th at 1:45 in room E21. This meeting is for anyone that has already signed up or if you’re planning on attending our trip to Vermont. Please see Mr. Konopka if you have any questions.

KEY CLUB will be having its monthly meeting Thursday November 15th in W10 right after school. Current and new Members welcome

For all those still interested in going on the HISTORY CLUB trip to Washington D.C. this Sunday, two busses are almost full. There is a 3rd buss on hold. For anyone still interested, you must have your permission slip in by TODAY>

Need a little help with your college entrance essays? Having difficulty with that research paper? Or would you just like another set of eyes to proofread your assignments?  The WRITING CENTER provides tutors to help with all types of writing assignments.  The WRITING CENTER will be open every Tuesday and Thursday after school in W-20.  Ask your English teacher for further details. - Schindler

The ROBOTICS TEAM will be meeting every TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY in Room N3A after school.  Come join us anytime.

The COMPUTER CLUB will be meeting every MONDAY in Room S21 after school.  Come join anytime!!!

ATTENTION TEACHERS!

The COFFEE CORNER IS OPEN!!!  Our doors open at 7:15 in Room E16.  Keurig coffee is available at all times, and fresh brewed coffee is available by 7:30.  $1.00 for coffee or tea, and 50 cents for any snacks (doughnut, muffin, etc.)  Our students work the coffee shop periods 3 & 6 and will greet you at the door and check you out at the register, but we are open ALL DAY so any time the door is open just COME ON IN and help yourself! Please leave money on register or in tip jar when students not working.  Stay tuned for upcoming lunch specials.
