WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE?

eTwinning Project “TRAVELLING AND SUSTAINABILITY”

1                      WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

When you finish this stage, you will have learned

• To use the language to get information from different sources and process them to inform others.
• To write and speak in public about climate change, its impact on our planet and possible solutions to halt it.
• To use digital tools to get information and present it in a clear, understandable and easy way.  
• To edit a short informative video.
• To edit a magazine.
• To share ideas, listen to others and be critical of your own work and the work of others.
• To interact with other students from a different country and distribute tasks.
• To develop positive relationships within an international team.

2           WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

• Computer or tablet.
• Google drive documents.
• Several digital tools: madmagz, tagxedo, imovie, canva, genially, piktochart, etc..

3          DESCRIPTION OF FINAL PRODUCT

• Poster and infographic to present the information about climate change.
• Digital presentation of the information gathered about climate change, its consequences and possible solutions.
• If time:  articles for the magazine of the project (each program its own); and/or video to inform about the topic. (Maybe one of them could be included in the school web page)

4          TASKS

TEAMS OF EXPERTS

Each group of exchange students will be divided into international teams of experts with functions and tasks to be carried out according to the topic they are exploring. Each team will research on the topic assigned and will make a digital presentation with all the information and a poster with the most important ideas and figures. All the presentations will be presented in class and the posters will be exhibited on the school walls. There is a link from WWF, Greenpeace or national newspaper to start research for each team:

Tool to be used:

• “genially” or “piktochart” for the infographic
• “canva” for the poster since it allows coedition, to share it with teachers and to print it to be exhibited on the school walls.

• The different posters and infographic designs will also be voted in “typeform” to choose the one that will appear on Twinspace, but each school can exhibit the ones created by their own students or even all of them.

Note: The amount of members in each team will vary depending on the amount of participants in each exchange program:

• Münster - Tomares: six to seven international teams consisting of two German students and two Spanish ones. In one or two teams there will be an extra German or Spanish student.
• Strasbourg - Tomares: six to seven international teams consisting of two French students and two Spanish ones. In one or two there will be an extra French or Spanish student.
• Breda - Tomares: four international teams consisting of four/five Spanish students and four Dutch ones.
• Padova - Tomares: seven groups of four to five Spanish members.

5        ASSESSMENT (for the Spanish students)

 La evaluación se realizará teniendo en cuenta los criterios que se especifican en la rúbrica de evaluación enlazada. Esta rúbrica considera una evaluación global y común para todos los miembros del equipo y otra individual, que dependerá del desempeño particular de cada uno de los miembros de los diferentes equipos:

1. Valoración global: equilibrio y armonía del equipo, material elaborado, resultado  (organización, si ha sido interesante, nivel de profundidad, …)
2. Valoración individual: participación y colaboración, actitud hacia el trabajo en equipo y desempeño de las funciones asignadas.

Se utilizarán los siguientes instrumentos de evaluación:

• Diario de planificación y seguimiento.
• Co y autoevaluación del equipo.
• Observación y valoración del profesor/a.
