MID-TERM TEST

TASK 1

Paraphrasing “greenhouse gases trap energy from the Sun (khí nhà kính giữ lại năng lượng từ Mặt Trời)”:

• greenhouse gases hold onto the Sun’s energy in the atmosphere

• energy from the Sun is captured by greenhouse gases

• greenhouse gases absorb and retain solar energy

• the Sun’s heat is kept in the atmosphere by greenhouse gases

• greenhouse gases prevent solar energy from escaping back into space

To begin with, as can be seen from the process, solar energy enters the Earth’s khí quyển, where part of it is phản xạ off the atmosphere and another part is radiated back into không gian as heat. However, greenhouse gases, especially xê ô hai, trap much of this heat, preventing it from trốn thoát. As a result, the nhiệt độ of the Earth rises.

• Confining animals is an act of cruelty, and zoos have no justification in today’s world.  
• It is inhumane to keep animals captive, so zoos should not exist in the modern era.  
• Holding animals in enclosures is a form of cruelty, making zoos unnecessary in the 21st century.  
• Since captivity is unfair to animals, there is no place for zoos in our time.  
• Zoos are irrelevant in the present day, as imprisoning animals is a cruel practice.

Agree:

1. Keeping animals in captivity is cruel because it takes away their natural freedom. (Việc nuôi nhốt động vật là tàn nhẫn vì nó tước đi sự tự do tự nhiên của chúng.)
2. The vast majority of zoo visitors are more focused on entertainment, rather than education and research. (Phần lớn khách tham quan sở thú chú trọng đến giải trí nhiều hơn là giáo dục và nghiên cứu.)

Disagree:

1. Zoos are important today because they help protect endangered species. (Ngày nay, các sở thú quan trọng vì chúng giúp bảo vệ những loài đang có nguy cơ tuyệt chủng.)

It is generally believed that … (nhìn lên mầu cam ở trên để biến thái ạ). While there exists a logical foundation for such a perspective, I am inclined to believe that the converse holds equal merit.

To begin with, advocates of the given view contend that it is unkind to confine animals, and in today’s age, zoos no longer serve a valid purpose. Firstly, luận điểm 1. What is meant by this is that biện giải. Secondly, luận điểm 2. A recently conducted study has shown that biện giải.
