It was another lazy day at the hololive office. You were slaving away as always in front of your computer filling up important documents before your vision was obstructed by a soft pair of hands.

“G-Guess whooo-!?” Aqua let out a surprised squeak as you turned the tables on her and pulled her into your arms, the short girl landing on your lap. If any normal person were to see the two of you in this intimate position, it would certainly lead to a rather damaging scandal but in the offices of the hololive building, almost all of the staff including the talents are aware of your relationship with her. And almost all of them were rather accepting as well. All except one person. Said person was also staring holes into Aqua, unnoticed by everyone and her jealousy increasing every second the girl was in your arms.

Shion seethed in silent frustration as she saw the sickeningly sweet scene between you and Aqua. She should be happy that her best friend finally found someone. But she isn’t. In fact, she was livid. Her own best friend stole her childhood crush from her. She knew it was only a matter of time before she finally made you fall in love with her. It didn’t matter that you had already rejected her all those months ago on that valentines date. It doesn’t matter that her best friend was already in a loving and committed relationship with you. She will make you fall for her, willingly or unwillingly.

The sound of your phone buzzing broke you out of the comfortable embrace that you shared with Aqua and brought you back to reality. With Aqua still on your lap, you brought up your phone and unlocked it.

Heeey~~ Wanna come over after work for dinner?? You know how much you love my cooking~

You stared at your phone for a good few minutes, Aqua staring along with you.

“Anon? Do you want to eat dinner over at Shion’s?” You wanted to decline Shion’s offer in favour of spending more time with Aqua after work but before you could type out a big fat ‘No’ on your phone, Aqua spoke up again.

“If-If you want to eat with Shion, we can always hang out some other time! You’re one of Shion’s precious friends after all!” Now you don’t really have a choice anymore, your cute girlfriend has officially given you permission to have dinner at her best friend’s place even if you did not have any intention of accepting in the first place. Sometimes her kindness is just too much but that’s what makes her so endearing. Sighing, you kissed the top of her head and typed out your reply to your bratty friend.

Well looks like you now have a ‘date’ with Shion. For some reason, you couldn’t help but get a bad feeling about this. You are well aware that Shion still has a crush on you even though you already have Aqua. She hasn’t exactly kept it a secret either. Ever since Aqua awkwardly proclaimed her love for you in her autistic but very cute way and you returned her feelings, Shion has developed a sort of rivalry with Aqua. Aqua herself isn’t aware of this one-sided rivalry but Shion tried to best Aqua in everything. From cooking to getting your attention in the office. Shion is no doubt a better cook than Aqua and she is definitely a better housekeeper as well but the fact that Aqua tries her best at everything is what made you attracted to her.

You know you should probably stop Shion’s obsession with you but you couldn’t deny that the attention was kinda nice. Who doesn’t want to have the attention and love of two very cute girls. You felt Aqua tug on your shoulder. You almost forgot Aqua is on your lap.

“Heeey.. Don’t forget I’m here!” You chuckled and leaned down for a quick kiss, silencing Aqua almost instantly. That was how you spent the rest of your working hours, typing away on your computer with a very spoiled idol on your lap.

Shion jealously observed the two of you, her growing resentment towards her best friend is almost unbearable but she suppressed it. After today, you will be hers and Aqua will be the one to look upon her in jealousy! Shion couldn’t wait to set her plan in motion. Just you wait Anon. You’ll only have eyes for me after today! We’ll finally get married and be a happy family together! Shion licked her lips in anticipation. Today is going to be a good day.
