Zephrys and Mass Dispel
If you watched Grandmasters this weekend, “Mass Dispel?” was uttered a lot as Zephrys hit the board. Yet time and time again the spell wasn’t offered.
Should Zephrys reward players based on their knowledge of the Classic/Basic set? Or their knowledge of Zephrys’s quirks?
Zephrys not offering Mass Dispel has come up a lot in Grandmasters this season. Do you think players should be rewarded for their understanding of...
Slippery Joe in Alberta
Howdy angry birds,
Ok why are we not more outraged by zephyrs the great ?? I have had countless wins absolutely stolen from me because of the card this guy generates. Might as well say “win game” on the front .
And the 3 mana cost ?! Wtf ? So you can play this card and play the card it generates on the same turn ???!!!
This card is gonna see a nerf right !? Cause it’s in absolutely every deck . I am very salty about this card because I just lost to it and I am getting close to snapping my crayons.

Zoolock
Zoolock tends to always come back around at the start of an expansion. But not only is it sticking around longer than usual, it’s making waves in Grandmasters right now.

What do both of these lists have in common? THE LACKEY PACKAGE
Sinister Deal, EVIL Cable Rat, Genius, and Recruiter.
It could be argued that Grim Rally is also a big part of the Lackey package. And if Grim Rally is part of it then Serpent Egg (which appears in Zalae’s list) is part of that package too.
Send us your deck suggestions!
We’d love to hear from you about what off-meta decks you’re enjoying.

Hi Joce and Garrett, Greetings from Nowheresville Michigan.
I recently returned to hearthstone after not playing since the first year of its release. I've been happy with the overall balance of the game (besides boom.) I strictly play fun/meme decks and enjoy targeting the decks I hate the most... (control warrior.) There's just something about beating Dr. boom with a cultist rogue deck that satisfies a part of my brain that no other game can.
Anyway, the reason I left shortly after hearthstones release was that I was a hardcore MTG player for a long time and I hated the amount of randomness in hearthstone that allowed casual players to beat basically anyone. Years have gone by since I kicked magic and I find myself in that casual player mindset now. I appreciate the fun in randomness much more than I did in my younger years, but I still find it annoying that there isn't a more hardcore version of hearthstone.
What I want from hearthstone is a mode where you can build 60 card decks, using cards from up to two classes. Your hero power would be determined by the class you added the most cards from. If it's 50/50 you could choose which one you want. This could obviously be adjusted by the dev's. I think a mode like this would attract more strategy heavy players such as myself, without destroying what they've already built in the main ladder mode. Maybe even locking the mode out for players until they have two level thirty classes.
What do you guys think of this idea and do you think it would be possible for there ever to be a hardcore mode in hearthstone or is that the opposite of what the devs are going for?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and thank you for providing me with great entertainment to enjoy while I'm working long nights.
