Welcome to Fuente Semilla! Thank you for taking the time to align, orientate and get yourself into agreements of visiting.
Ethos
- The energy and intention of this space is towards a Regenerative lifestyle including establishing a culture that focuses on the human side of permaculture, food and hospitality.
- You agree to uphold the following values and behaviors while living at Fuente Semilla:

Vision
A live in community and permaculture experience for those looking how to grow food, tend to the earth, preserve food, and prepare healthy foods for healthy diets. They will enjoy practicing and learning mind, body and spirit wellness practices. All while becoming more aware of themselves and others. People will live from one month to one year and develop practices that will become permanent life changing rituals. Those with interest in earning abundance with the teachings can support projects like selling products and services at the farmers markets, and to the local tribe of people. While also using the space for offering services, such as yoga, movement, and life and wellness coaching.
2.1 Ideal candidates
- This opportunity is ideal for a passionate couple who wants to grow as leaders. One handy person could be managing the maintenance and another heart centred person could be managing apprentices, guests and meal planning for a family style experience.
- If you have in your vision and dreams to lead community then this program is a perfect training ground for you.
- Whether it is healing plant elixars, tonics, or tintures or the medicine of healing yourself and others through conscious communication and connection, this program is perfect for people on the Medicine path.
2.2 Responsibilities
This program is like an ecosystem and there are different ways to connect and play. We ask that you know your place and take responsibility for knowing, understanding, and embodying all parts of your role in this experience. You agree if that you are not sure that you will always ask to form an understanding of where your part is to be played and where limits and boundaries exist. This is your opportunity to live to your highest expression, own your role, and express your leadership qualities as a person, the time is now. All information is available in this and other documents, you agree to use them as a resource to both train yourself and inform others.

2.3 Leadership Training Offered
- Connecting to your purpose
- Weekly sync up on personal and farm goals
- 1-2 hour blocks with Merlin and group on Clearing and holding space for self and others
- Wednesdays are Community Hands on the Land and mastery of growing food in the greenhouse with a permaculturist 8am - noon.
- 1 on 1 Coaching for Cultivators to the areas that are most passionate to you.
2.4 Sample Schedule
Monday
- 7-9 AM: Daily Offering -( Merlins Miracle Morning) Meditation, Yoga, Breathwork, or Movement, Music, and journaling time.
- 9-10 AM: Community Meet up 10 AM - 12:30 PM: MOOP
- 2-3 PM: Facilitator Clearing Meeting
- 3-5 PM: Prepare for guests' arrival (room setup, welcome packets)
- Total: 7.5 hours
Tuesday
- 8-10 AM: Kitchen Shift
- 10 AM - 12 PM: Create content for social media; schedule posts
- 1-3 PM: Design and implement a new signage project for community spaces
- 5-6 PM: Welcome guests upon arrival; orientation
- Total: 7 hours
Wednesday
- 8-12 Weekly permaculture experience all on land generate this powerfully
- 12pm option for lunch, farm to table offering, and spanish classes.
- 1-4 PM: Support the permaculture team in planning a garden layout, focusing on creating engaging content for social media, continue on projects for the land.
- Total: 5 hours
Thursday
- 10 AM - 1 PM: Continue work on the new cabin
- 2-4 PM: Assist in setting up the connection workshop space and ensure promotional materials are prepared
- Total: 5 hours
Friday
- 8-10 AM: Kitchen Shift
- 10 AM - 12 PM: Collaborate with the F.A.R.M team on organizing financial records and creating informative posts about resource management
- Total: 4 hours
Saturday
- Morning: Edit and finalize videos from the week's events for social media posting
- Afternoon: Free to assist with any ongoing projects or prepare for the next week
- Total: 3.5 hours (Flexible based on project needs)
Sunday
- Day Off: Personal rest, reflection, and preparation for the upcoming week.
3. Living Agreements
All visitors, whether you are a short term guest, an apprentice for 1-12 month play trade or hosting an event are required to sign the waiver containing the agreements of:
- Honoring spaces
- Honoring others
- Honoring yourself.

3.1 Honoring Spaces
Cars and Parking
- There is parking space available. Check in with Merlin before arriving as you may need to unpack and then park your car at MOZen.
- Only 4x4 cars can enter Fuente Verde. Check with your taxi or ask for a referral.
Wifi
- Request Password on Arrival
Sacred Silence Quiet Hours
- Please uphold the quiet hours of 9pm-9am. Unless all in space have a event
- Ninja walk softly through the space.
- Like a “Fairy” soft close doors.
- Quiet your voice and if need be talk on your phone out on the deck or away from living spaces.
- Question your actions. Can someone sleep or meditate 10 feet away with what you are doing?
Going into the Jungle
- Let someone know if you go walking into the jungle.
- Always keep you bags closed outside.
- Check for bugs around the outside toilet and around dark places in your room or cabin.
- Do not walk through the jungle during sundown if you can help it. Wear tall boots at night time.
- Create a love bubble of peace and care and gratitude as you walk through the jungle letting all beings know you will not hurt them and that you are pleased they will not bother you.
Emergency meeting point
- In case of emergency all visitors to meet at MoZen
Tender Loving Care :General
- If anything feels off, be confident in reporting it.
- If you take something, put it back in its home, clean.
- If you borrow something, return it to the same place when done or within 24 hours. Take a picture to remind yourself.
- If you finish or break something, replace it.
- Look for what the space needs to make it nicer than when you got there.
- Everyone pitches in and asks what’s needed for 15-30 minutes a day before lunch or dinner. Ask if you can clean the kitchen, floors, dust or mop, bathroom, toilet, burn paper, or dump or clean the compost.
- Moop Magic:
- regularly ( Matter out of place or Moop is anything that is left out of where it lives. This can be trash, a spoon, scissors, personal items, ie clutter.)
- Weekly time and day everyone gives love and cleans the space
- Burn poo paper
- Take out trash
- Sort Recycle, and Funky plastics to recycle space in San Salvador
- Clean fridge, and look over kitchen for any science experiments
- Sweep and Mop floors
- Clean compost bucket
- Walk around perimeter of land and pick up any trash, and stuff in eco brick
- ( All items have a home, Recycle, Burnable or Stuff in brick, If no home we clean it and grow plants in it or bring to San Sal recycle.
- Toilet wash and spray with Vinegar,
- Any spills or dirty areas spray Vinegar or Alcohol to kill bacteria
Resources and Consumption
- Things are hard to get here, some things are brought in from other countries. Nothing leaves the Mozen or Fuente Semilla without permission.
- Only use what you need.
- Only have 1 hot shower a day. Enjoy the river. Enjoy nature's abundance.
- Save resources wherever you can.
First Aid Kit
Living and Communal Spaces
- The Wizard’s Den at MOZen is a no fly zone. Please do not enter or go in that space if not with Merlin.
- MOZen is closed for access without invitation.
- Leave your shoes outside, no shoes in the house. When entering the deck
- Always close doors.
- The last person to leave the space at night switches off all lights and closes all doors & screenless windows.
Kitchen
- Don’t touch food items that are not yours without asking.
- No food to be left in the kitchen overnight.
- Put your personal food in the section designated for you.
Pans
- Teflon and Ceramic are really great. Never use metal spoons or spatulas to touch them. Use plastic or wooden utensils only. Little oil to heat them up allows easy cleaning right after usage. Wash them with a soft rag directly after.
- In stainless steel equipment any metal is ok. Also wash right after use. And try to use the soft side. Or soak directly after and wash later.
Spray Bottles
- Blue: Alcohol
- Green: Vinegar
Sinks inside
- Hot water: left; Cold water: right
- Use hot water only as needed as it activates a pump and heater.
Cleaning
- Treat the space as if it were your own home.
- Clean as you play, plus 1 item always.
- Always leave it better than you received it.
- If it’s dirty and you see it. You win. Clean it.
- Keep your space clean. No food in the rooms.
- For longer stays, consider a Moop Monday which includes a deep clean of the entire temple.

Composting
- There is a small compost container that can be emptied into the bigger container outside the kitchen door. Wash and dry the container when empty so that it doesn't collect bugs or animals.
- Big compost bucket gets processed by the compost behind the outside kitchen (at the big rock front, on the „neighbor’s land“.
Recycling
- "What you bring in, you bring out"
- Soft plastics are first cleaned and dried and only then gets stuffed into an ecobrick (plastic bottle ). Save all the bricks.
- All burnable paper and cardboard goes into the burn box outside the kitchen door and will be used for the regular toilet paper fire..
- Hard plastic and metals are collected clean in the big blue bin. In bags it gets dropped at Elizabeths or separated and dropped at Luz del Bosque recycling centre. (Connect with Ara in San Salvador)
Biodegradable Soap
- Protect the drainage system and only bring and use biodegradable soaps.
- We may have some for purchase.
- All water drainages, especially when cleaning the toilets, done only with biodegradable products as well (bleach will kill the Bio Process if the Blackwater system)
Bathroom
- Open and close the door quietly (like a ninja).
- Only use the light when you need it and when it is dark outside.
- For the sink, hot is left and cold is right. Use the cold please unless a bigger amount of hot water is needed for cleaning.
Toilet
- All toilet paper to goes in the burn trash bin.
- 1-2 x a week or every other day we burn if event is happening.
- Male bodies - pee outside (At least 30 feet from structures and on a palm or banana if possible, try not to pee in the same spot over and over)
- Hygiene products - please remove any plastic (clean into a trash brick) before putting it in the burnables.
- Flush, please.
Shower
- Place the drying mat in front.
- Have your towel close.
- Hot is on the right, cold on the left.
- Clean out the drainage siv with some toiletpaper when you are clean, dump it in the burnable bin.
- Dry off inside the shower.
Bathroom Closet
- Contains guest towels, kitchen towels and rags, brooms, mop and dust pans.
- Use the same towel 2-3 days before requesting a new one. Hang yours to dry on the dry line outside.
Laundry
- Only use the machines if you have been trained or ask a designated laundry operator.
- Create a schedule and signup sheet to minimize use.
3.2 Honouring Others
People
- Thank you for working with the jungle delays.
- Land and check in with everyones experience.
- Speak to others with love.
Animals
- Dogs may visit only with permission.
- Don't feed Cura scraps from the table as it will encourage her to beg.
- Cura can not have any items with spices or seeds- check in with Merlin/preferably he still feeds her.
3.3 Honouring Yourself
- Feel as if you are at home while honoring others needs to feel at home.
- Do your best to acknowledge yourself and others three times a day.
- If there is anything said or done that you are not complete with or that stops your listening from love
- Ask to get it complete by having a conversation
- and/or ask for support to have a space held by Marcus Merlin or someone else.
Safety
- Bring a light as you walk at night and watch the floor.
- If you don’t step on anything or bite, they will not step on or bite you.
- Stop if you see a snake they will pass. Or get Merlin or someone from the space to remove them.
Drugs and alcohol
- Are not allowed. Please do not bring any to the space.
Nudity
- Dependent on the container at the time.
- A bare chest policy with tops being optional inside.
- Bottoms are required- especially for sitting on any surfaces.
- Please ask if you are not sure.
4. Pricing and Spaces
- Minimum of 1 month.
- Groups will be considered.
Deposit
- A $100 security deposit for incidentals is required for 30 day stays or more.
Apprentice Passion trade
- The first month’s payment is required and upon review may be refunded after the first month.
Passion Trade exchange
- 22 hours per week. For longer time trades the rate becomes lower.
- Shared room or private (at additional cost if available).
Non Refundable Policy
- All payments are non-refundable.
- Exceptions are death or borders closing (90% refund).
- Credit may be granted for future events.
