Check out the packing list in this booklet. Don’t wait until the night before to get everything together for your student!

Arrive at  Centerpoint on time so that your student can get checked in!

There will be volunteers directing you where to go and where to place your luggage.

We will depart at 5:00  a.m.

I need to arrive at 4:30 a.m.

Make sure the food items your student packs are non-perishable, they need breakfast for the bus as well as snacks in a carry-on bag.

If your student does not end up in the room they requested, this does not constitute an emergency

Our staff and volunteers pray over and work hard to organize rooming assignments to ensure that every student has a great week.

When students arrive, they will get checked into their hotel room, head to dinner, then to the first session.

Sessions in the morning and night include worship and biblical teaching.

Please make sure you have a signed medical release form from your student before you leave today.

Staying hydrated will be very important

Consider bringing a water bottle that can be refilled.

Staying “sun-screened” will be very important

Believe it or not, the sun at the beach is different from the sun inland. We don’t know the science behind it, but we do know this… If you get burned, you’ll have a bad experience! Make sure to pack sunscreen and teach your child how to use it… :)

Please make sure your student is aware of all expectations in this booklet.

We want them to be aware of the Beach Camp policies before they arrive.

We will update you on a more specific estimated time of arrival as the bus gets closer to Danville.

Remember that your student will need money to purchase lunch at a fast food restaurant on the way home. Have students put this money in a ziplock bag in their luggage and keep it separate from the rest of their money.

When students arrive, if you haven’t already, we would love for you to meet their small group leader and hear stories from the week!

Safety is a major priority for Beach Camp. We have taken several steps to ensure that your student is safe and taken care of.

  1. There are on-site security guards at all buildings throughout the SeaMist Oceanfront Resort.
  2. The number to contact in case of emergency is 238-4242 x.103 (24 Hours).

For the week of Beach Camp, we want students to focus on Jesus, so we ask that everyone dress appropriately and not in a way that distracts.

  • Please make sure that all attire is modest and appropriate
  • No speedos or anything that semi resembles a speedo - not till your in your 80’s
  • Unless at the beach or at the pool, wear a t-shirt.
  • No sagging shorts, pants or trunks.

  • Please make sure all attire is modest and appropriate
  • One piece bathing suits or tankini’s
  • All shirts and dresses should have a modest neckline
  • Skirts and dresses should keep you fully covered, even when sitting and bending.

Students will be provided with lunch and dinner Tuesday - Thursday. They will need to bring lunch money for the trip to Myrtle Beach, bring breakfast for each morning in your hotel room, and enough money to purchase lunch on the way home. Please let us know if your student has any food allergies we should be aware of.

We will not be handing out or keeping medicine for students. If your students need to bring medication, please prepare them to be responsible for it during the week. Small group leaders (room leaders) will be given any specific medical information needed on the students in their room. Please let us know if your student has any special need we should be aware of.

After each main session, students go to their small groups. Small groups are a time when students can really process what they are learning, what God is teaching them and what they are experiencing.

Beach Camp is going to be an amazing experience. Your student will participate in engaging worship, relevant teaching, and intentional small group time, and they’re going to want to capture those moments. Cell phones are great tools to capture exciting things, share those moments with friends, and stay in touch with loved ones. So, we want students to use them for that! However, cell phones can also cause us to miss the awesome moments and people that we’re around, so we’re going to encourage all students to “Hang up and hang out.” If your student is glued to their screen instead of spending time with their small group, their leader is going to encourage them to hang up and hang out. That way, your student doesn’t miss moments that could be life changing. It’ll be tough not hearing from your student 24/7, but your student’s small group leader will have their cell phone on them at all times in case of emergency. The number to contact us in case of emergency is 238-4242 x.103 (24 Hours).
