Title/Role: Frontend Software Developer -Public Interest Technology Knowledge Network (PIT-KN) Project

Project Summary/Job Description: 

As part of our public interest technology grant from New America, we require the service of a student that  will provide input on the frontend development of a Knowledge Network. Our team is building this  platform to facilitate connection, interaction and collaboration among entrepreneurs of color who are  active in the area of public interest technology. Working in tandem with the UX/UI person, the tasks we  will be engaging the student on involves assisting with the design and building a highly interactive platform that is easy and intuitive to use.

This effort is one of several initiatives under the broad umbrella of The Public Interest Technology University Network), which was convened by the Ford Foundation, New America, and the Hewlett Foundation. The network is a partnership of several colleges and universities dedicated to building the nascent field of public interest technology, as well as growing a new generation of civic-minded technologists and digitally fluent policy leaders.
