What time should I arrive/drop off my child and leave/pick up my child?

Arrival: Please arrive by 9:30am this will ensure time for check in and for the event to start at 10am. If you/your child has not filled out the waiver (link above) this will need to be completed on arrival.

Suggested drop off/pick-up - Entrance to the field on 45th Avenue between Broadway and Shafter Ave.

Departure: The event will close at 2:00 PM, and pickup is the same location as drop off. Most participants completing the 5K will be done at Noon, and you are welcome to depart anytime after you complete your 5K. We will have food available from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Upon arrival, where do I check in?

The registration table will be the first stop upon entry at the school. There you will be able to complete your registration, receive your runners bib, check your bag, and receive a wristband for food

Where can I place my personal belongings for the day?

A bag check will be available for all registered participants on the day of the event.

Will I receive a wristband or ticket upon entry? What will this be used for?

Yes, you will receive a wristband or ticket upon entry.  This will show that you are part of the event and can also be used for lunch.

How will I track my 5k progress?

  1. Participants are encouraged to track their progress using the Strava app, see below in virtual FAQ’s for details on downloading the app and connecting it to your PledgeIt profile
  2. You can manually update your kilometers run on your PledgeIt page via mobile or computer by clicking the “updates” button at the top of your PledgeIt page (see screenshot below)
  3. If you do not have access to a phone or fitness tracking device, a runners table is available and can log your start and finish times.

How can my community see my progress, and donate to my fundraising page?

The community can see your progress and donate through your personal fundraising page on PledgeIt. Be sure to add updates of photos, social media and more by clicking “update” on the top of your PledgeIt Page (see screenshot below)

What other fun things can I expect at the event?

In addition to the 5k, the event will also have food, music, activities, community, and more!

Virtual Participant FAQs

All information on the day of the event will be communicated via the PledgeIt website, or directly through email.

What is the timing of the event?

The entire event will run from Saturday May 28th 10 AM PST to Sunday May 29th 10 AM PST. Virtual participants have the entire 24 hours to complete the 5k challenge and share their success on Pledge It. Virtual participants also have access to virtual workshops, and can follow the in-person activities on social media.

How will I record my 5k progress virtually?

  1. Participants are encouraged to track their progress using the Strava app, see below for details on downloading the app and connecting it to your PledgeIt profile
  2. You can manually update your kilometers run on your PledgeIt page via mobile or computer by clicking the “updates” button at the top of your PledgeIt page (see update screenshot below)

How do I download STRAVA and connect it to my PledgeIt page?

For the day of the relay log exercise in STRAVA, and it will automatically update to your Pledge It

What is the virtual content that will be shared for the 24Hr Relay event?

The virtual content is pre-recorded and will be available for you to view at your leisure.
We will release the pre-recorded content as workshops to the event audience as a benefit of participation.

When will I receive my swag as a participant?

All fully registered participants (registration ticket fundraised or paid) will receive an event t–shirt, runners bib, bandana, and drawstring bag. Supplies will be mailed to the address in your registration after the event upon participation.

Please note at this time we are only able to ship supplies within the US.
