​SFYS Spring Season : March 9th - May 19th, 2019

Spring is set up to be an 7-8 game season, depending on the number of teams in your division and the number of byes your team is granted. Brackets with odd numbers of teams will have forced byes, which may not be able to coincide with a requested conflict weekend - especially as school spring breaks do not align city-wide. As ever, we will make every effort to give all teams the maximum possible number of matches.

Spring Season will use Printed Game Day Photo Rosters ONLY. 
Based on critical feedback from our referees,
no paper or digital passes will be accepted.


Spring Registration is a Team-based Fee based on age/division.

The Spring League Team Registration Fees have not been increased since SFYS has run the Spring season, beginning 2014. Team Fees are due in full by Friday, 12/7.

  • $775 : Recreational Teams, 2nd - 8th Grade
  • $825 : Upper House Teams, U09-U10 (Birth Year 2009-2011)
  • $975 : Upper House Teams, U11-U12 (Birth Year 2007-2008)
  • $1050 : Upper House Teams, U13-U15 (Birth Year 2004-2006)


Current SF Youth Soccer players and coaches are still registered and insured with their Fall teams for Spring play. The Fall Player team commitment should be considered for Fall and Spring.

How much does it cost per player to play Spring?

Current Fall Players should confirm with their team or club because - unlike Fall, where each player pays individually - for Spring, teams submit a single payment on behalf of their full roster. The SFYS Spring League Team Registration Fee works out to roughly between $50-70/per player, depending on the size of the roster and the league of play. (Note: SFYS Spring Team Fee does not include uniforms, coaching fees and/or club dues, which are outside of our purview.)

My team isn't playing Spring, but my player would like to. What do I do?

No problem. There are a lot of Spring teams who could use an extra player or two! First, let coaches know you're looking by completing this form. Then, follow up by contacting Teams with Player Openings.

Half my team wants to play, but the rest have other commitments. What are our options?

If you’ve half a team of players interested, we can often connect you with another half team in a similar situation. When you complete the Intent to Play form, just let us know that your team is a merge candidate by selecting “This team requires a significant number of new players in order to register for Spring” or “This team would consider a merge with another team in order to participate in Spring” and choose “Pay by Check” at the end so that no payment is due when you submit the form.
