Castor Oil Wrap

*Topical Application Only*

May be used for: Dry skin, Joint discomfort, enhanced liver clearance, promoting motility in the large intestine and hair growth.

  1.  Apply castor oil to desired area.  Sit in a nice warm bath with the oil on for around 20 minutes.
  1. Warm either the oil or your body for best absorption.
  1. Wrap the area loosely or put loose clothing over the area.
  1. You may apply more castor oil to the area of discomfort prior to wrapping if you prefer.
  2. Castor oil may stain your sheets, so pick an old pair of pj’s to wear to prevent this occurrence.
  1. Go to bed!

Some practitioners prefer to use a wool cloth soaked in castor oil then use plastic wrap over it to hold in the heat and prevent leakage.  They then place a heating unit over the area.  While this method may drive the properties of the castor oil into the skin further, I’m not a huge fan of this method.  Heating plastic on the body is never a good idea.

Consider trying my method of application along with a warm bath to promote absorption.
