- Key in promoting and/or creating opportunities that promote inclusion, equity, social justice, diversity, and belonging
- Assessing work in progress and leading the efforts in evidence based strategies in all aspects of the District initiatives through activities, programs, academics, training, interventions, employment, etc.
- Identifies and participates in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion training, as well as, restorative practices and Title IX on an annual basis
- Serves as an advocate on all matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, and restorative
- Serves as a Title IX Coordinator for the District
- Participates in yearly local, national, and/or regional professional opportunities when feasible
- Researches current trends and best practices for the delivery of cultural awareness that will ultimately lead to cultural competency
- Identifies implicit biases and offers a perspective to meeting the needs of students and staff alike
- Assists in cultivating a work environment that values diversity at all levels in the district

- Establish and maintain safety protocols district-wide which includes, but is not limited to, trainings, drills, establishing evacuation protocols, and reunification sites. To assist in building relationships between students and police. To assist and/or act as a deterrent to school violence.
- Maintains Liaison with: Central Office Administrators, Building Administrators, Local and State Law Enforcement Agencies, School Resource Officer, State and Regional School Security Professionals
- Develops, maintains, and leads a comprehensive District crisis response plan.
- Coordinates a comprehensive security/school safety program.
- Receives all reports of school crime and criminal incidents occurring on school property and/or incidents off school sites that would have an effect on school safety.
- Serves as a Liaison with local Law Enforcement.
- Oversees DPS security and works with the SRO to ensure adequate coverage according to District needs.
