WINTERIZATION
**Custom Options Available**
WINTERIZE (parts # to begin with RMW) - Brass 3-way Ball Valve (lead-free)
- Fittings (½” pipe thread x Pex)
- Pex Tubing
Connect to water lines: - To the fresh water tank.
- To antifreeze jug/tank.
- To the pump.
| WATER HEATER BYPASS (parts # to begin with RMV) - Brass 3-way Ball Valve (lead-free)
- Check Valve (Brass or plastic options)

Connect to water lines: - To water heater outlet.
- To water heater inlet.
- Cold water in.
* Install the check valve on the water heater at the hot water connection.

NOTE*** if it’s necessary to add any part to this system, the parts must be at least the equivalent of IAPMO TSC 28-88. Systems must be purchased from a certified and approved supplier. Swan Industries is certified and approved.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR WINTERIZING FRESH WATER LINES
To Winterize
- Make sure the pump is switched off.
- Drain water tank and water heater. Allow tank and water heater to drain completely. (Note: make sure pressure relief valve is opened)
- Open faucets to relieve pressure. (hot and cold faucets)
- Close all faucets.
- Turn Winterize Valve to “Winterize” and Bypass Valve to “Bypass”
- Put hose into R.V. Antifreeze container. Use only non-toxic RV Antifreeze. (Antifreeze holding tanks available from Swan Industries) DO NOT use automotive antifreeze!!
- Turn on pump switch.
- Open hot water faucet located farthest from water pump. When red antifreeze appears let about a cup run down drain. (This will winterize drains). Do the same with all other water outlets. (hot and cold) including shower, toilet, etc.
- Turn off the pump switch.
- Open one water faucet to relieve pressure (hot and cold), then close it.
| To De-Winterize
- Close fresh water tank drain and fill water tank. (Leave hot water heater bypass in “Bypass” position).
- Close hot water tank relief valve, and drain valve.
- Turn Winterize Valve to “Normal Flow”.
- Turn on pump switch.
- Open cold water faucet farthest away from water tank until clear water appears. Shut off faucet. Do this to all other faucets, showers, toilets, etc.
- Open hot water line until water appears.
- Turn water heater bypass to “Normal Flow”. Your system is ready to use.
