The Peru Town Market is a celebration of the local growers and makers in our area, and this beautiful community that we call home.  Please read the full document below.

By submitting the Peru Town Market Application, you agree to follow these guidelines.

Time: 10am to 2pm

Location:

The Peru Town Market will take place at the Heyworth-Mason Park, 2948-2956 Mason Hill Rd, Peru, NY 12972.

The Town Market will be held from 10:00am-2:00pm, vendors should arrive at the park no earlier than 7:45 am to set up their tables. We will not make acceptions for this start time this year. We arrive early to ensure that we are ready for you, and when you arrive early, it creates unnecessary stress on our team.  We will not begin greeting you until 7:45 am.

Vendor Space Rentals:

Tent spaces available for the Market are for a 10 ft by 10 ft tent. Tables, chairs, and tents are not provided. As this is an outdoor event, vendors should be prepared to bring their own tents, tent weights, tables, chairs, water, etc. There is no electricity at this event.

Vendor fee per month: $45

The Peru Town Market charges a flat fee for the space rental per month, and all vendors handle and account for all sales themselves.

Only producer-only, handmade and homegrown products and mediums will be accepted. Vendors must abide by any and all state and local laws when selling their goods.

There will be no refunds for missed markets or swapping of market days. In the event that we need to cancel, you will be fully reimbursed.

Market Logistics:

• If you make food or sell a consumable good, you must have insurance, and are responsible for any off-site permitting and licenses that apply to you, they must be current, and you must provide a copy to us upon application. *Due to town restrictions, no brewery, winery, or distillery is able to attend, because alcohol is not allowed in the park.
• We will need a copy of your current insurance prior to your attendance at the market.
• Any garbage you bring in or create at your booth must be taken away with you. There are no garbage receptacles available for Vendor use. You MUST clean up your area before you leave.
• Each Vendor will be allowed 1 parking space behind their tent. If you need to bring a second vehicle, you must park it in the designated public parking area.
• We will continue to accept applications for each  market as long as there is availability. We will keep an ongoing waitlist for any vendor that did not make it into the market for their preferred month, and will contact you with as much notice as possible if a spot opens up.
• If you are unable to make a market that you sign up for, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can give someone else an opportunity to fill your spot. As we only have 5 markets in our season and space is limited, we feel it's important that you share some of the responsibility of the makeup of the market, for yourself and your fellow vendors. We understand that circumstances beyond our control sometimes happen, but consistency is the key to success. If you call out the morning of a market, that is a valuable spot that someone could have taken if you had given advanced notice. If this behavior  becomes a pattern, your remaining spots will be given to someone on the waiting list for the rest of the season.

Right of Refusal:

The Peru Town Market has the right to refuse a vendor’s registration or ask them to attend on a different Market day on the following conditions:

• The vendor has not made or grown the items themselves, as all items sold at this market are to be handmade, homemade, or homegrown.
• There are too many of the same type of vendor being shown on that date (first come, first serve). We will work with you to figure out which days will work better to ensure a variety during each event.  

Example: We do not want to have half of the vendors on a given day to be jewelry makers, because it’s not fair to you or our patrons, and we want everyone to be successful during these events.

• Content is not appropriate.  

Market Health and Safety Guidelines:

We care about the health and safety of our families and our community, and so we will ask that you follow any state guidelines as they may apply to masking, social distancing, and common sense safety practices and techniques should they be put in place. We will outline any guidance or guidelines in our vendor emails each month. Our goal is to continue to offer these markets without risking the health and safety of our community.  If you have questions about this, please reach out to us.

Disclaimer:

This will be a rain or shine event. The vendor fee is non-refundable if you are not able to attend, however, if we must cancel for any reason, you will be fully reimbursed. By filling out the Vendor Application, you agree to the terms set forth in this guide.
