A peek at our week:

In class, math groups are continuing to focus on place value of numbers and starting to explore multi-digit addition. In ELA students are practicing a variety of writing types and working in book clubs. We will continue to work on growing our writing skills. Students are continuing to study energy in science, and map skills in social studies.

Remote learners should continue to check Google classroom for math, ELA, and social studies/science activities each day.  Please see the remote learning packet for materials that accompany the online lessons.

• I can add multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm and solve word problems using a tape diagram to model my thinking.
• I can write a narrative based on real or imagined experiences.
• I can edit my writing for capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
• I can describe a character, setting, or event from a story using details from the text.
• I can effectively participate in different types of discussions with different types of people.
• I can locate the continents and oceans on a map and use a compass rose, map key/legend, grid references, and a map scale.
• I can explain that energy can be transferred and that speed & energy are related.
