Planter - Bot User Manual
Intro:
The Planter Bot can be used in various gardening applications. It can be set for a garden size and left to plant seeds while the user is away during the day, which eliminates the time-consuming task of planting. This leaves the gardener free to attend to their garden with regular maintenance as they wish without having to spend tedious hours initially planting the seeds. The planter bot can be used for different types of seeds and works best with seeds that should be planted ⅛” to ¼” in the ground. Additionally, the Planter Bot is more cost-effective than hiring a landscaping company because it has one upfront price, while landscaping companies require monthly fees every year from late spring to early fall.
How to Use the Planter Bot:
Once you unpack your Planter Bot, plug it into the wall and allow it to fully charge for 16 hours before first use. For subsequent uses, the Planter Bot only needs to be charged until the battery is full. To set the Planter bot to its initial position, place the bot in front of you so the belt is in the back. Position the hopper all the way to the left; this will allow the belt to move properly. The Planter Bot will return the belt to the correct initial position after its first use. When the Planter Bot is fully charged, press the on button to turn it on. The display screen will turn on and show you a menu where you can set how your planter bot should run. The center button is the “enter” button that allows you to select a menu or size option. The up and down buttons allow you to scroll through the menu options, while the buttons to either side of the center allow you to move forward and back through the menus. You will need to set your garden shape and size and the depth into the ground the seed packet recommends planting the seeds. Once you’ve set the Planter Bot and put it in your garden, return to the main menu and select ‘Start’, then press the enter button.
The Planter Bot can only hold one packet of seeds at a time and will stop running when it runs out of seeds. Once it’s done running, the Planter Bot will go into “sleep” mode, but will not be fully off. To wake the Planter Bot up, press the power button once, briefly, and the screen will light up. To turn the Planter Bot fully off, press and hold the power button until the screen is no longer lit up.
Troubleshooting:
If you’re running into issues with the Planter Bot, we have a few quick fixes for common problems you may experience. One issue that customers often see is the hopper getting clogged with seeds. If you have this issue, turn the Planter Bot off, flip it over and gently tap the hopper with either a tool or your hand. Turn the Planter Bot over and press the hopper down once to see if it drops seeds. You may have to repeat this process a few times to fully fix the issue. For mechanical problems (e.g. if a part is not moving correctly), first try powering the Planter Bot fully off, then back on again. This will reset the Planter Bot and should fix any minor issues. If the hopper/belt mechanism gets out of sync (if it starts from the middle or gets stuck on one side, etc), try repositioning the hopper all the way to the left.
