Membership Report:
It was noted that we presently have a Club Membership of 42 regular members and 13
Conservation Members. Dean reported that we have 3 pending membership applications.
One of the applicants was present. His name is Dave Barnhart (son of Member Don
Barnhart) and he was a previous member. A vote was taken, and David was welcomed into
the Club. The other 2 applicants were not able to attend the meeting, so a vote will be
taken when they can attend.
Gino Tonini asked the club to keep his $25 fee for not completing the required work hours
and use it as a donation to the Club.
- Field Committee – Dave Gehman noted that there are trees growing in the fields and will need to be cut and sprayed near the end of summer.
- Mike reported that we need to change the air filters in both aerators and that the first trout stocking went well with about 350 trout stocked in the upper pond. The lower pond was treated with Clipper for the Waterneal growing there.
- A chairman for the Range Committee is still needed.
- Grounds Committee –Ken Hartman
- No report submitted but it was noted that Chairman Ken Hartman is actively working on plans for the new dock at the upper pond. Gary Rehm reported on his progress with the preparation of an operational Manual for the Cub Cadet Mower.
Tenant Property – Chimney – A Chimney Sweep has been hired and we will coordinate this work with our tenants.
- A Board meeting needs to be called to review what Dick Fantazier has completed concerning the lease. No date has been set for this meeting as of this time.
- No update was presented about hiring an electrician to inspect the tenant house wiring.
- No update was made on the Safety Deposit Box issue.
- A discussion was held about the Club Application, Rules for Use of the Club and Grounds and the Range Rules. A meeting will be setup to discuss these matters and the resultant documents will be presented to the Club Members at a regular monthly meeting.
New Business
- Member John Shutter updated those in attendance about the requirements for handling dead deer when taken in a CWD Management Area which the Club property falls within.
For the good of the Club:
- President Gary Rehm put forth a proposal for the purchase of a 40-6- gallon 3-point sprayer to be used with the Cub Cadet mower. The projected cost is between $380 - $440 plus $175 shipping. The sprayer would be used to spray Multiflora rose areas, green briar, weedy areas along the lane, the lower side of the upper pond dam breast, and the CREP fields. The discussion was a favorable one among the members present but no vote was taken at this time. Gary also noted the need for a small platform for use on the large dock to allow shorter fisherman to have a better sight picture of the fishing lines and bobbers. Finally, President Rehm also noted that he will email information to members concerning the updating of our Club Application and all rules and regulations associated with the Club for review and subsequent discussion and voting during the next few days.
