Circuit Lab Quiz Practice
- Given V = 35 Volts, R1 = 3 ohms, R2 = 100 ohms, R3 = 2 ohms, Find:

- The total resistance
- Current
- Voltage change across R3
- The current at R2
- Draw the symbol for Resistance
- Draw a Short Circuit, and in a line explain what could go wrong when dealing with one.
- Decode this resistor:

Red, Green, Orange, Yellow, Violet
- Given V = 6000V, R1 = 200 ohms, R2 = 800 ohms, R3 = 1000 ohms, R4 = 1000 ohms, Find:

- Find the Total Current
- Find the Voltage across R4
- Find the Total Resistance
- Redraw the circuit to simplify it.
- Draw the symbol of an LED
Answers:
- 105 Ω
- ⅓ A
- ⅔ V
- ⅓ A
OR

- Red Green Orange Yellow Violet
2 5 3 *10K ±.1%
= 253*10000 = 2530000
=2.53MΩ (I accepted 253 * 10KΩ), but during future tests simplify it
- .1111 A
- 3000 Ω
- 666.666 Ω

I gave points if you left the arrow, but there is a difference the one with arrows is an LED, but the ones without are diodes. LEDs are diodes but diodes are not LEDs so be careful.
