Maintaining a Clean Campus

All students: All building hallways will remain off limits during lunch until our hallways and stairs are safe. We are experiencing a large amount of trash in hallways and on stairs. This is a campus safety issue and must be addressed. At lunch you also see lots of seagulls, this is because trash and food waste is not being thrown away into trash cans. If you happen to be one of the unlucky ones that get seagull poop on your clothes or in your hair, be sure to remember to clean up after yourself and to help their neighbor clean up after themselves.

Introducing Drama 1 in

"The Greatest Story Ever Told: Cinderella Stories From Around the World"

Directed by senior Lorraine Sandoval & junior Julio Garcia, the oldest and most universal of folktales is the story of Cinderella. Versions come from almost every known culture around the world. The Oldest Story Ever Told combines in one telling variations on the Cinderella stories from Africa, India and China, of which the latter is the oldest. All of the beloved and familiar elements of the story are here, but with highly theatrical variations representing the different cultures. The Cinderella of the Indian tale is a boy, Changez, and instead of fairy godmothers, these Cinderellas are supported by the King of Frogs, a magic fish and a bull.

https://youtu.be/6QyuawhC3FQ

Drama 2 presents

"Antigone"

Directed by senior Arriella Guidubaldi, the tragic play Antigone, written by Sophocles, demonstrates how we must live with the choices we decide to make. Antigone, a young woman, goes against King Creon's orders and buries her deceased brother. When Creon receives this news, he concludes that God wanted women and men who “broke the law”to face death plenty. But it was not just the insight of God that aids Creon’s decision, but his own inner motives to prove his strength to his people. King Creon's son, Hamen is Antigone's fiance attempts to change his father's mind, but Creon won't budge. Antigone is a story about love, passion, death, and, most importantly, a story everyone can relate to. Does Antigone succeed at burying her brother? Does Creon have a change of heart?

However, great steps have been made to protect and support the trans community. To honor this week, and the people that it represents, we, the LGBTQ+ Club, will be raising the Transgender Flag on the Eastern flag pole ( near the baseball fields)
