HOMECOMING APPLICATION/NOMINATION FORM 2023

Eligibility Requirements:

• Candidates must have an overall 2.0 Grade Point Average to run for Homecoming

• Candidates cannot have any major discipline issues (suspensions, expulsions, etc.) within the current (23-24) school year. Candidates must also have good attendance.

• Candidates must currently be involved in two school-sponsored activities. (Clubs, sports, etc.)

• Candidates must file an application and petition and return them to the ASB Advisor’s mailbox (Ms. Lena Nash) by Friday, September 15 at 4:00 pm.

• Candidates must have one student who is in the same grade who is willing to nominate and support him/her during the campaign.

• Candidates should not have been a prince or princess in previous year (unless running for Cardinal King or Cardinal Cutie).

• Elected candidates to the Homecoming Court must participate in the class dance and attend mandatory practices as determined by the ASB Advisor. Verified athletes, by Athletic Director, unable to participate are excused.

• Elected candidates may NOT campaign for themselves (other than by word of mouth) or as part of a couple.  Violation of this rule is subject to disqualification.

• No campaign may start until the candidate has received an email confirmation from Mrs. Nash September 18th.

• Voting will take place via Google Forms sent to students emails on September 20 and close on September 21st at 4pm.

HOMECOMING NOMINATION FORM 2023

___________________________________________ (ID #: ____________), for the 2023-2024 Santa Paula High

School Homecoming Court for the Class of ___________ (please list the individual’s year of graduation – 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027).

For the nominee to appear on the class ballot, I understand that he or she must meet the eligibility requirements listed on the back of this page.  The nominee must also obtain 25 signatures from members of his or her class. Once the ASB Advisor receives this nomination form and determines that the nominee has met all requirements, his or her name will be listed on the official ballot. No campaigning, other than word of mouth, is allowed.  This means: no posters, flyers, stickers, posts on social media or any other materials.  Candidates who campaign may be disqualified.  

Application is due 09/15/23, 4:00 pm, Room 202.
