Lane/Salary Grade: Certificated Salary Schedule Lane/Step based on experience and education

 

Location: Assigned School this position will require travel between two schools

Additional Information:  This position will be teaching 8th graders high school level math curriculum.

General Function:

Under the direction of the school principal the educator is responsible for the education of assigned students and will create a flexible program and class environment favorable for learning and personal growth. The teacher will establish effective rapport with pupils; motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for further education and in accordance with each pupil’s ability. Professional relations will be developed and maintained with other staff and parents.

Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities:

 

During times of state or district emergency, all employees may be required to perform additional duties that are not required on a normal basis in support of educational and operational priorities. e.g. Performs general cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, provides remote assistance to students and staff, and any other reasonable duty as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or greater in Secondary Education and/or related field from four-year college or university.

 

Preferred Education and Job Related Experience:

Experience working in a K-12 environment.

 

Required Licenses and Certifications:

Active Utah Professional Education Teaching License with proper endorsements authorizing areas assigned. ESL Endorsement would be beneficial.
