Pre-Participation Requirements

To Register to play sports at BUHS: To play sports at BUHS, both students and their parents/caregivers must have their own separate Powerschool account and register online via that account. Once in Powerschool, instructions for registration are as follows:

Log on to Powerschool
Click the link for FORMS and then Athletics Participation 2024-2025
Read the BUHS Student-Athlete Handbook before completing the form
Select a winter sport, provide the requested information and then sign the form. While either student or parent/caregiver can provide the information, both student and parent/caregiver must do this using their own account. Your signatures signify that you are aware of BUHS expectations and policies.
Include email addresses for all that you want to receive information from the athletic department.

Please register as soon as possible to help coaches with pre-season planning. Once registered, coaches will be able to contact you with updated and more specific tryout and practice information.

Medical Examination and Clearance (A Well Child Exam & Sports Participation Clearance is recommended).

BUHS requires students to have documentation of a physical examination & sports clearance dated within the past two years. To meet this requirement for the winter season, the examination must have happened on or after March 1, 2023. Your doctor’s office will provide their own paperwork/form. It is recommended that incoming 9th grade students have a Well examination prior to the start of their first season. Once the documentation has been signed and dated by a physician, the documentation can be emailed to the athletic office at csawyer@wsesdvt.org, faxed to 451-3935 (attn: athletics) or uploaded to powerschool.

Vermont uses Arbiterlive.com as our state scheduling platform. Our schedules can be found at BUHS Schedules. Each team’s schedule has a link to "Follow" that team. Following a team will give you access to schedule changes as they happen.
