Swing and Sundaes
Student Group: University of Minnesota Ballroom Dance Club

Description: Ice Cream and Ballroom Social. This event will be a great opportunity for freshmen to mingle with their peers, get some free ice cream and popsicles, and get to know more about ballroom dancing.
Traditional Karate-do Academy at UMN Welcome Event

Studio U Night

Location: Bruininks Hall 220
Description: StudioU Night is the first meeting of the semester. The first part of the meeting is giving a run-down of what StudioU is, some of the roles and responsibilities, members having the potential to pitch a project idea, and more. The second half of the meeting offers a challenge to members to create a short skit, and have them ready by pitch night that happens the following week.
Sewing Studio Open House

Description: This event will start off with a brief introduction to the sewing studio, its facilities, and equipment and then offer a guided tour to familiarize new students with the studio space. There will also be a Meet and Greet with currently members and a Q&A session. Additionally, there will be interactive stations set up with various fashion related activities and booths with information about the club, future events, and resources for new students interested in sewing and design. Refreshments will also be provided.
DSC First Meeting

Description: First Meeting for the Data Science Club. Meet new people and talk about the club and what we plan to do for the semester. Introduce the officers of the club and see who would be interested in an officer position for the upcoming semester. Have fun and have some food as well.

What’s The Scoop?
Student Group: Society of Women Engineers

Description: ‘What’s the Scoop?’ is an event held by the Society of Women Engineers that aims to introduce incoming students to SWE and create a space for them to meet other incoming students. Ice cream and non-dairy treats are provided to the attendees.
UPS Fall Kickoff Ice Cream Social

Description: The UPS Fall Kickoff Ice Cream Social is a welcoming event to bring the campus community together at the start of the academic year. Fall Tech Kickoff

Description: The Fall Tech Kickoff is a recruitment event in collaboration with ten other computer science oriented campus clubs. The purpose of this event is to allow First Year students to foster connections with others and introduce them to the plethora of computer science clubs/activities available to them, each of which have their own unique niche. The Fall Tech Kickoff will act as a great stepping stone for new students to feel less overwhelmed and welcome.
Foundry Welcome Night #2

Student Group: Biology Without Borders

Description: Event where new students and returning students are introduced to Biology Without Borders, and can learn about our partner organization, KWAT (a clinic in Thailand). After, participants will play a quick game of Kahoot that will quiz people on the contents from the meeting. We intend on serving Jimmy Johns at this event.

Description: The event will take place with an introduction of the board members followed with icebreakers so we can get to know those interested in PiH. Raising Canes will be provided to those in attendance. There will be a presentation explaining what PiH does, and how each university chapter contributes to the overall mission/goals for the year. The goals are to introduce people to PiH and teach them about how it doesn't matter what you're majoring in, there are several different ways to be in PiH.
First MicroBiology Club Event

Respectacle Volunteer Event
