Welcome Wizards of the Spiral! As you may have noticed we have reveived a brand new pack. We are talking about the new “Ravenwood Ranger’s Lore Pack”! Once you buy this pack you will have the chance of getting one of the three brand new spells. In this Blog we will be having a closer look on all of them and slightly analyse their use and function in PVE and PVP.

The first new Spell we are looking at is designed for the school of storm. It follows the design of previous spells such as Insane Bolt where the outcome of casting the spell depends on the odds.

This Spell has potential to be top tier as well in PVE and PVP. Every Wizard has the chance to adjust the spell depending on the way they would like to utilize the spell. Especially in terms of healing this spell has more potential than the previous healing spell “Healing Current”. In terms of Damage the spell is also dealing a decent amount. The main risk will always be the chance of backfiring by using a heal when a damage is needed and a damage when the player is in need of a heal. Overall I believe it is a very interesting and also exciting Spell and it is definitely to be considered as a good spell that should be in every storm wizard's spell deck.

Another one of the new spells is “Camp Bandit”; it comes with a new function. As of right now there are no spells that could be compared to this one.

This spell comes with the new unique ability to remove a trap from your wizard and place it on the opponent. Camp Bandit is mainly a utility spell which also explains the low amount of damage dealt to the opponent. While it has amazing graphics it will be quite difficult to use. In PVE you will always need a perfect timing as most bosses and mobs don’t trap stack your wizard. In PVP it can be used to remove traps making it difficult for trap stacking schools such as Fire. However due to the high amount of pips sacrificed it will hardly stop trap stacking schools, as they mostly only need 2 pips to stack 3 traps on your wizard.

The last new addition is the spell “Splashsquatsch” designed for the school of myth. As most myth spells it has the special ability to remove traps off your wizard.

This spell is quite difficult to judge. It can be used to remove high value traps such as feints in PVE and PVP. However for that to happen you will need many spellements. Also it would be a tough fight against trap stacking schools in PVP as these schools need 2 pips to stack 3 traps while Splashsquatsch requires 4 pips to remove 2 traps. While it does have nice graphics I personally do not recommend this spell. It will need a lot of spellements to be of use and it does not fulfill a necessary function in either PVE or PVP.

Something all have in common is a really impressive graphic design and if you love that they are definitely worth collecting. Depending on the purpose they almost all can be useful but outstanding is Beary Surprise. It has the best functionality and offers the school of storm a strong healing spell.
