Universal texture sets are intended for use with body textures that you would like to be compatible with more than one body type. For example, let’s say you have a custom Bibo+ texture, and want it to work with Gen3 bodies and vanilla gear. This tool can make that happen automatically (vanilla textures will always be mirrored due to the bodies not supporting asymmetry. This is a game model limitation that Bibo+ and Gen3 were made to remedy)

Currently you have an issue where a body texture made with Bibo+ will only appear on Bibo+ bodies. The same is true if you have a Gen3 texture, this texture would only be compatible with Gen3 bodies such as Eve or Tight & Firm. Not to mention, vanilla bodies may not show your custom texturing either unless you manually make textures for each body type.

How do I make a texture set universal?

Right click your desired body texture set (in my case I’m doing my Bibo+ texture set)
Click “Enable U
niversal Compatibility”
Read the disclaimer, and then click OK
Click Finalize and wait.

It may take a few minutes to generate the final mod.

It’s recommended to only click Finalize when you’re fully satisfied with the body texture on your main body. If you’re making quick edits that are not final yet, use Preview.

Once your mod is done processing, it will automatically be put into penumbra. Enable the body mod, and the body options. Enjoy!

But how do I make a texture set to begin with? How do I assign textures?

Troubleshooting:

XNormal does not like adult sections of the body. While it's good at converting almost every other part of the body, adult sections of the body do not get translated well. To avoid this, use a transparent overlay of your tattoo or image and it will be automatically placed onto a relevant diffuse for each body type that came with the tool.
