Visual Art 2-4 Syllabus
Visual Art Composition Year 2, 3 and 4 gives advanced students the opportunity to develop technical skills while creating a solid body of artwork. Students will build a portfolio, work weekly in a sketchbook, and submit work to be considered for area competitions and exhibits. We work on enhancing the college application process, and some seniors may submit their portfolio for scholarship offers. This course is designed for students with strong, independent motivation and a desire to grow as an artist. Each artist will have unique needs and talents, and many students will be working on different projects at a variety of skill levels. At least 2 major drawings or paintings will be completed each semester. More advanced students in these classes may be asked to have an individual art show in the library, showcasing many of their artworks.
