INSPIRE3 (formerly generationOn Indiana) Update – 2/25/19 - Thank you for sharing this information with your colleagues and staff !!!
Even though we have changed our program name to make us more transparent in what we do (Indiana Service-learning Philanthropy Initiative: Resources to Educate, Engage, Empower) we are still the same grant funded program that is facilitated by the IASP and the IMLEA to support schools with service-learning. Our mission remains the same: Incorporation of service-learning Educates students while addressing academic standards and employing critical 21st century skills, Engages students in their content with real-world application, and Empowers students to see themselves as an integral member of their community with the power to affect change. We continue to share and assist our Indiana schools with the free website resources on the generationOn and the Learning to Give websites. See updates on resources below.
New Spotlight on Service-Learning article written by our INSPIRE3 Consultant, Beth Smith:
Students Get to Work with Service-Learning “Preparing all students to successfully enter the workforce with the necessary skills in place in one of our goals in education. So too, we strive to teach students their responsibility as an engaged civic participant. Service-Learning is a natural vehicle to combine both objectives into meaningful, real-world instruction.”
