From the Principal’s desk…

Welcome to October!  I know we need the rain, but not the wind and loss of power that I know some of you experienced this week!  We are wrapping up our fourth week of school and we are definitely settling in.  Things are still different due to COVID, but being in the classrooms and witnessing the teaching and learning going on is enjoyable and welcomed!  Teachers have been working tirelessly to make this new format of in-person and remote teaching work and I have been very impressed with how diligently they have negotiated this enormous undertaking.   At this point, you should be very familiar with your child’s teachers, schedules, and class work, but if you aren’t, reach out!  We are here to support and work with you, as well as them!

Warrior Athletics

The schedule for next week is as follows:  Monday, B soccer home against Orono, girls play at 3:30 boys at 4:45; Wednesday, field hockey @ Hermon HS, 3:30 game, A/B; girls soccer home against Brewer, 3:00 B/A; boys soccer @ Brewer, 3:00, B/A; golf @ Madison, 3:30; Saturday, field hockey home against Skowhegan, 11:00, A/B.

School Picture Day

School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 29.   Order forms will be sent home a few days prior to those days.  Grade 5 will have their pictures taken on Tuesday and Grade 6 will be taken on Thursday.  Grades 7 and 8 will be taken on the days they are in school that week.

Workshop Day/Holiday

There will be no school next Friday, October 9th, this is a workshop day.   There will be no school on Monday, October 12th, as it is a holiday.

Progress Reports

It’s almost progress report time!  The last day the progress report window will be open is Tuesday, Oct. 13th and progress reports will be available by the end of the day on Friday, Oct. 16th.  We will not be sending progress reports home; parents and students can access them through their Infinite Campus accounts.  Reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
